I am thinking about upgrading my existing PC. I want to buy a processor, motherboard, ram and graphics card. I am thinking about investing 20-25k at max.

I am not a gamer so it doesn’t has to be cutting edge stuff but looking for best performance under the price. A balanced build for performance and price.

Please suggest. Thanks in advance.

Thanks for the suggestion… Also, it’s pretty close to what I was thinking.

I am thinking about going with Ryzen this time. I have a few questions though.

1. You did not suggest any graphic card with Ryzen. Any particular reason or is it better without a gc.

2. Is it wise to go with AMD Ryzen 5 2400G instead of Ryzen 5 3400G? Is the price difference of 4k (comparing for Amazon fulfilled sellers) justified going with Ryzen 5 3400G in terms of performance?
https://www.amazon.in/AMD-Ryzen-Processor-Radeo...

3. Do you think the product prices are low right now or should I wait? The thing is, there is no much cb offers on pc components, only 10% bank offers which I can get from discounted gift cards anytime.

Thanks again for your input. Really appreciate it.

Ryzen beats I series any day, however dont have resale value
Between 2400 and 3400 you wont find noticeable difference for normal task, unless you plan to render animations and movies on your pc
Prices of pc components remain in the same range, as mostly are 3rd party sourced, use bank offers buy now

R3 2200G is fine. Little lower clocks than R5 2400G. Both quad cores but the latter can execute 1 extra thread per core.
The latter’s GPU perf. nearly matches that of the GT 1030(when paired with fast, expensive dual channel RAM). The former is a bit slower. You are getting i3 8100+GT 1030 class perf.
Down the road if feel the need to upgrade to a faster CPU you can pick up a hexa or even octa core for really cheap. Makes sense to spend a little extra on a mobo.

Don’t buy MarQ products. Support is the worst and you will be lucky to get it repaired under warranty in case you need to avail it.

Also, this is CPU only. You can get it assembled with better quality components for better price unless of course if MarQ CPU is on super deal.

If you are looking to build a PC then buy the following components and assemble it yourself. These are quality components for a low budget gaming PC. I have listed 3 links for each component from trusted websites to sell PC components in India. Buy from whoever is cheaper. If there is not much price difference then I will recommend you to buy from Amazon. Appario Retail, TPS Technologies, Official Digital Vengeance, A1Price A1Products are trusted sellers.

For better performance, I will recommend buying 2 sticks of 8 GB RAM. Remember, this build does not require a graphics card.

I am also suggesting two NVMe drives in case you want to go for it instead of SATA SSD. Suggested by @bikidas2060580

Yep. Bought the components during Diwali sale with ~20% cb. It’s running very smoothly.

My brother used my PC for a few hours and he was so much impressed with it that he asked me to build a CPU for him too. We bought the components during last sale.

Probably a very naive question, why do we consider a high end psu instead of the local psu’s available at 1/9th the cost.

Because in case they decide to go bad, they’ll not only blow itself but your other components will suffer too. stuck_out_tongue

I’ve learned this lesson sacrificing my motherboard & HDD in the past and since then I’ve used Seasonic & Corsair only and never had any issue. Currently using CX650.

Another incentive is they offer really long warranty (min 3-5 years) in comparison to the standard 1yr warranty on the local ones.
