PMLA: Carry your original ID to bank for transactions over Rs 50,000
The Government has made it mandatory for banks and financial institutions to check the original identification documents of individuals dealing in cash above the prescribed threshold, to weed out the use of forged or fake copies.

I don’t get this. Technically your bank account is linked with a PAN and an Aadhaar number, then why the fuck do we need to mention it again while transacting over Rs. 50,000 ?
because they can’t even touch the real black money hoarders.
for example, google “panama papers”.
PAN/ID not required for cash purchase of Gold/Silver now.
This is done keeping Gujarat elections in mind.
