One of relatives kid age 15, studying in 8th standard while going to school last week started feeling pain in chest and sweating so taken to hospital …in X-ray it showed he has pnemothorax and needed surgery so taken to big hospital where his normal surgery done. Since a week he’s in hospital and air which went in lungs still not fully passed and doc said it will be covered in few more days.
However a day back CT scan done which comes normal and blood test ANA done which shows antibody PM-Scl detected..while other antibodies not detected.
Parents said this is the first case they have heard and hardly anyone aware about it to know how to care afterwards or which doc to best consult for.
Anyone aware about?

Update:: it’s his 8th day in ICU. He has no symptoms at all. His doctor said, his X-ray’s r fine too and shows no problems, no fever, no nausea, no pathological defect.
Doc said he will be discharged in couple of days as trapped air is gone too.
Prescribed ‘Deflazacort’ 6mg ((steroid)) for next 6 months and high protein diet.
Anyone aware about case of such pneumothorax.
Diagnosis::: that day before it happens, he laughed so much… Doc said that might be reason.
its Pneumothorax. not Pnemothorax . in short his connective tissue is defective require lifelong support and immunotherapy
