query: lounge access with expired debit card

I have a axis debit card which has lounge access. The card is expired in November 2019 and I now have a new replacement card. The question here is can I use the expired debit card for lounge access, did any one try this?

Reason for using the expired card is the card doesn’t have a name on it, but the account number. Now I wish to give to my relative for one time usage (lounge experience)

Any leads are much appreciated. Thanks!

They swipe your card on the POS at the entry of lounge.
POS machine itself will reject your card for entry citing expired card as reason.

once i have asked the agent at the reception to swipe my other card (with my name only) to give access to my wife and they did.
you can ask for the same, if they allow your other card(if any) to grant access to your relative.

Thanks on the POS perspective. In any case I will validate this card in any ATM, typically the expired cards will be deactivated upon using the new card.

I’m not travelling along. Also I also read earlier that entry was denied on name mismatch. It is all subjective.
