Don’t waste your money, even buying from olx a used asus max pro m1 will be more worth for your money than this.

I bought redmi 8a, in last sale for 5300, 2gb is plenty for youtube titkok insta n all. Battery lasts really long like 2 days with continues nonstop youtube usage n over week if only calls

May be but I can tell you from experience that 2gb ram is not enough to even comfortably open paytm app & leave it running in background while simultaneously open 1-2 chrome tabs nowadays. Also paytm app size(app+user data+cache) is now reaching 300mb & phonepe is also reaching 300mb. Zomato app consumes at least 100mb ram sometimes during live tracking status updates. In short, getting 2gb/16gb phone is only suggested if you are never going to use it for anything more than calls & youtube/tiktok etc & don’t mind clearing whatsapp media & cache frequently.

@Harish.agarwal Check by minimizing everything & just lock the phone screen for 10-15 min.I don’t know if redmi did some extreme optimization but even on my k20 with 3.3gb out of 6gb ram free,I cannot keep any 3rd party/non-redmi app remain in background for more than a day.

I have faced the same in 6GB variant of Poco F1, albeit running Pie-based crDroid backed up by 2GB ZSWAP. MIUI includes the cache in free RAM and hence delivers a different estimate. Battery Optimization has a big role in this behavior I guess.

MiUi is extremely optimized. It doesn’t matter how much ram you have or whether you white listed the app or not. MiUi keeps killing them. You can compare that with stock Android. Only way to keep it running is by locking it in recent apps section.
