Raipur Smart City Launch RuPay Contactless NFC Prepaid Card:

Raipur Smart City Ltd (RSCL) on Tuesday unveiled a first-of-its-kind ‘Raipur Smart Card’ for the convenience of the citizens. Powered by Axis Bank, this multi-purpose prepaid card will offer a unique solution that would allow citizens to use it to make cashless payments for several services within the city including payments to Municipal Corporation, shopping and commuting.Additionally, Axis Bank has developed a web portal and a mobile application for RSCL, available in both English and Hindi. Citizens will be able to consume city centric information specific to Raipur city on the web portal and mobile app and also make payments such as property tax, water tax, and other municipal corporation & utility payments.

The mobile app will be digitally linked to the Smart Card and payments can be made through the mobile app wallet as well.
Citizens will be able to make payments in a fast, secure and hassle free manner with the Smart Card. Availing the Smart Card will not require citizens to hold any bank account. They will be able to top up the prepaid card using the mobile app and the web portal, and also at various service outlets across Raipur and designated Axis Bank branches in the city. Speaking at the unveiling ceremony, Rajat Bansal (IAS),Commissioner RMC and MD RSCL, said, “With this initiative of Raipur Smart City Limited, our aim is to create a digital ecosystem for the convenience of the citizens of Raipur.

Citizens will be able to make cashless payments for various services across the city.
