Same as Kotak 811 Account. Looks like RBI has given them permission to operate these accounts

There aren’t any benefits/rewards with the 811 account AFAIK. Are there any?

No. Same is here. Unlike Jifi Accounts total credit in a whole F.Y. can’t exceed ₹2L, so this is basically a BSBDA Account with the help of which they are trying to take on Wallet Companies.

From the FAQ of this account :

How many accounts can I open with Aadhaar OTP?
One can open only such account with any bank in India. If you already have similar account with any other banks then you cannot open this account with RBL Bank.

So in principle, if you have IDFC or 811 or any other Aadhar based account we cannot open this.

Yeah, this was also discussed here earlier in some Digisavings thread.

I guess IDFC Account can’t be included in this because with IDFC there are no limits but with 811 & this account there are limits.

I opened that account using my aadhar number so I guess that will also be part of this type of account. I am not sure why that will not be included.

Ya I know I have seen the thread.
I just want to highlight to dimers that do not treat them like any wallet account.
Few days back people were opening 811 account to take advantage of phonepay refer and earn.

What’s the highest rate of interest in RBL and for what period. IDFC is giving 7.5% currently for 366 days

What rate are they offering now? IDFC had the crown earlier. Related: https://www.desidime.com/forums/dost-and-dimes/...

Anyway, what I meant by benefits were not interest rates, but things like Kotak Jifi’s points worth 25 on every 500 spend via netbanking (capped to 125 150 per month) or IDFC’s 10% activation cashback (upto 250) and Diwali 10% cashback (upto 10K!).

In that sense I have no idea. But what is this 125 points worth. And limit is quite aggressive.

As of now it is around 7.65 for 3 years.

It’s not points, I am talking rupees. So for spending 500 rupee via NB, you get 100 points = 25 rupee cashback (5%) that can be redeemed for Amazon/Flipkart/BMS/PVR vouchers the very next day. But I must warn you that the availability of redemption options is very bad. Many times, the reward vouchers are OOS. Like currently, only the BMS 200 vouchers are available.

With the increased awareness about this account (thanks to me and some other users), the availability of redemption options will likely only get worse. https://cdn2.desidime.com/assets/textile-editor/icon_toungueout.gif

@GoogleCA Thanks, corrected from 125 to 150 in my post.

@DealSeeker you forgot/missed to delete 125 from that post. For the first couple of months i had this notion that 5 Transactions would fetch me points. Then i realised that it’s actually 6.

I didn’t forget, bro. I used the strikethrough to highlight that it was an edit. This is so new people reading through the thread do not get the wrong ideas.

Is the strikethrough formatting not visible on your app?
