Really horrible day - chain snatchers

It happened to me today. I was riding my bike and coming to home after watching a movie. Suddenly a bike passed by in a splash where 3 guys were sitting fully drunk. They tried to snatch my chain and with lucky escape I survived their attack. They tried to come with bad conversations but i kept my cool. I wanted to teach them a lesson and gave a speech to them as they did not allow me to move my vehicle. Silently they said they will call some guys if I move my vehicle, I silently said I will also call my guys and called police by dialing 100. As soon as they heard the IVR voice they ran by pushing my bike and they drove rashly and went somewhere. The age of the guys will be anything between 16-21. I feel ashamed that my state government have no control over this alcohol things and ppl like me are getting traumatized just because of these *******. Today chain snatching from me and tomorrow it might be from someone and it will go upto rape. Where we are heading too? Being a normal person I could not catch those culprits. The ugly thing is that nobody came to help me and they were just watching. Believe me guys if no one comes forward it might be anyone among us tomorrow. I have gone beyond extra mile in between so many times instead of bird watching when there is an issue but today nobody helped me. I felt disappointed and sad so thought of sharing this with you guys as I did not get sleep by thinking this instance.
Note : I was not in a position of take photo of those culprits as I was driving and before I take something, my mind was watching them since I felt anytime they might attack me.

Where did this happen?
It happened in my hometown and one of the major cities in India. Around 10-11 pm with ppl around as it had happened near a well known bus stand and railway station.
Kind Of Situation In Delhi .i Faced Many Times Or Was seen many Times In Delhi.here too conditions Gone Beyond The Line .
I personally feel untill we won’t give first priority to humanity these crimes are not gonna stop. The main problem with society is that we don’t help each other. If we are united then these crimes will be stopped.
Please pm me which place in chennai if u do not want to share it in here. I am also from chennai, so we can take precautions. Chennai has become a chain snatchers paradise of late, nearly 10 chain snatching incident coming to light daily. Please do pm me.
Age 16-21 is very dangerous, you never know what you are doing you just follow the flow(what your friends doing)
Arey if you guys have so much talent of snatching come to politics, lets snatch government money why to harm innocent people

Yeah rightly said but I’ll blame public also as they do not come for help. If 2 ppl come in between asking questions, they will not have this much guys to do it

Guys, These kind of incidents are very common in developed countries too. Try walking in any New York or philly street at 11 pm and you will know what i mean. Even touristy places such as Paris are no exception when it comes to petty crimes.
One needs to be aware of his surroundings at all time irrespective of the country/city he in in. Some places maybe a little safer than others. A person known to me was mugged at Kuwait in broad daylight while he was jogging. The so called Arab country’s stricter laws did not deter the criminals.. Please ensure that you are in your prime fitness. Most petty criminals will stay away from well built guys. Try to carry some non lethal weapons such as pepper spray for your safety.
If anybody is expecting public to intervene and help you, sorry to say fellas , it ain’t happening. Public might help ladies or seniors in duress but shy away from helping grown up men. Your security is in your hand.

such people should be killed on the spot. My blood is getting boiled, how such people can stay in our society.
They have the power and support from everywhere, even police and government will not catch such bloody worms.

As a chennaite,Felt sorry for you in this incident. This is what will happen when government itself promotes alcohol and open tasmac in all over the city. Also heard lot of chain snatch cases in chennai for the past 1 month.

It’s his bad time bro, it could happen with any one of us.
Basically there is no fear of the system, thanks to our democracy & corruption, which has made everyone their own bosses and has given them a right to behave & do like they want.
Freedom is our birthright has gone totally wrong here. It’s time to revoke this bloody freedom from the citizens.
If only, the police & legal system stops being corrupt/lenient & punishes these a***holes in public with everyone watching it, there will be no improvement.
Seriously, we need a strict & tight regimen for 10years to weed out the panache created in last 60 years.

A certain rate of crime is essential and healthy for the society!
A society without any crime cannot and would not exist!

Happened with me, I know the heart-breaking feeling.
What is surprising is when it recently happened with a friend over the weekend went with him, the front token person and back both same scene. They spoke about a gang doing these robberies busted by the and hope they will get their devices.
And sim providers have a quick process to get you a new sim re-issued asap, probably this happens alot to have a fast automated system managing all this.
