Received dented fridge from Amazon.

I am feeling looted here. Received a damaged fridge, took my original working fridge away for 2700 bucks.
Now the replacement fridge is not available and if same condition continues, i will receive a refund. But i won’t receive my fridge which was exchanged. I called the Amazon customer care but they are useless.
I bought this during festive season offers which no longer exist. Besides, i checked all the reviews for same product later and it seems every other fridge delivered has a dent.
What are my options ? Consumer court ? Please suggest.

Yes this is true, in my case i exchanged washing machine only after opening the new washing machine in front of delivery guy. If there has been any dent i would have cancelled delivery and exchange.
In your case now you can ask them replacement or if the dent is small you can ask them compensation and keep the refrigerator.
Your case won’t stand on consumer court as Amazon terms and conditions says you won’t get replacement item back in any case. You will only get its value i.e. 2700
Claiming manufacturer warranty means they will repair the product and may not replace.
you want them to return your old refrigerator ?
Raise the issue with the manufacturer for replacement. If they deny to replace the refrigerator then contact Amazon for refund.
I had asked the delivery personnel to open the box but they mentioned that it’s not eligible for open box. I had also confirmed with Amazon right away.
In Metro/tier1/tier2 cities all Large Appliances are opened before delivery in front of you if there is a damage the courier never hand this to customers
