What are the general issues customers face in banks?
I’m trying to make a questionnaire and just need some pointers. Being a student I don’t have much idea about banking (Practical)
10-15 people giving 1-2 points would make my work a lot easier.

Too much rush bcoz of that Bank employee don’t have a time to listen customer problem and comman man suffer
Specially for those customers who r not aware of digital banking or old age man

1. What Where How

Though most private banks showcase clearly which section is for what purpose, they are helpful too in responding but this is still branch specific and depends on staff friendliness
PSU on the contrary despite having single window concept make people walk from one desk to another
One has to literally beg to get their rightful things done
At times staff lack knowledge which leads to irritation and waste of time

2. Due to space crunch or otherwise, teller / cash withdrawal window is easily seen and one withdrawing big sum will be easily noticed thereby increasing risk
though few banks have roaming staff and diligent security which keep vigil on customers who come without purpose or ulterior motive

3. Locker placement is hassle at times
One has to get down several stairs which are not comfortable to get down, specially elderly people
Also same as 2, locker entry is near gate then many notice and it poses risk

Banks (private as well psu) are improving day by day and recruiting and training staff to serve customers well. So above issues are not bank specific, these could be location specific.

A common man struggles hard to open a saving account, but for a person who interested in Loans will be created account instantly within half a day.

In banks like Axis, ICICI , once you walk in … in house sales team keep pounding on you to hard sell their trash products

I second that, mostly in private banks all employees irrespective of thier role are given sales targets for insurance products, mutual funds etc etc
I have had arguments with also, cause they were like they can see so my much money is lying idle in my account why dont i put in some ulip scheme they suggested.
I was like who the hell are you to check my balances, i have come here for depositing a cheque
So this is a major issue i have faced, selling stupid products and breach of privacy of my personal finance details

LPG subsidy bank account change – the bank fellows not ready to help and say we dont have SUCH FACILITY

the lpg portal says visit bank but bank dont help

there should be online facility to change the bank details on the LPG portal

despite knowing it is legally not correct:
banks (non scheduled/cooperative, scheduled) try to abuse change in terms/policies by mentioning ‘..if you don’t respond/object to these terms within N days of this communication, it will be treated as having acceptance of new terms and you’ll be bound by them..’

without knowledge and despite receiving no instructions, forcing products/services on the relationship.
later charging for the same.

one more problem I observed in govt banks in my area is the employees take Rs500-1000 from uneducated people who have no idea about banking while opening a new zero balance bank account but that money never gets deposited in their bank account and they don’t have any proof that they gave money.
the employees simply deny that they took money for the opening account and when asked further they ask for proof.
I have seen this happening a lot of times.
