In our area,
reliance Lyf store is busy in selling mobiles and sold 6000 in less than week in my small town, they advertising after 3 month promotion we have to pay 97 rs per month with 1 GB 4G with unlimited voice calls and in app usage is free..
So this is cheap and high qulaity
97 Rs
1 GB 4G, Unlimited Voice calls (all India) – All reliance app usages are free except on-Demand sevices.
He also told me, they’re busy in MNP launching date announcement as they got the dummy sim stocks already…
Airtel/Vodafone/Aircel lootting us by 245 rs per GB
will ask jio representative and ping you guys about voice call thing, as it is unlimited or each call reduce some data.
so its confirmed, 1 GB price is nearly 100, if Voice call is truly unlimited without affecting data means, this is 1000 % hit then no competitor
Detailed plan shared by killbill :
VoLTE 4g Consume more battery compared to 2g or 3g or norrmal 4g used by airtel/idea, also its heat your mobile a lot….
so i think every one who using Jio will buy power bank for sure
South Tamilnadu..
For retailers :
2 simcard – one for recharging, another one is unlocked simcard (can use in any VoLTE supported phones) with unlimited data and calling..
Wind 5 phone is given to retailer for 2500 rs, each retailer can get max 2, one will be given initially, other will be announced later or non-demand period.
@desibuddy bhai mere in that 1 gb you getting calls free , but if you know VOLTE , calling will use 4g data and that data will be deducted from your data balance , so calling is not free in fact it will consume data pack . but if they launch unlimited netpack for 500-600rs then that would be amazing . bcoz 1gb in jio 4g speed lapse so soon .
It is not really cheap considering some postpaid plans, I am using vodafone 375 plan which gives 1gb 4g and 500 mins. So, even though it is cheaper but not as much as expected.

Is it a corporate plan? airtel my plan is so expensive than this
but i feel which is still cheaper compared to airtel and vodafone
hope these guys launch soon
As inbuilt app option will be free means, free tv and jio chat will become popular hope they wont charge for data consumed by jio chat and their eco-system apps, hope ambani open his mouth to close the door of Airtel/vodafone

JioFi already available for public since yesterday (12th-Aug). I confirmed with 3 Digital Express store yesterday in Ahmedabad.

Chances of unlimited plans are very slim. If Reliance starts offering unlimited, customers will download like there is no tomorrow and choke the entire network. Reliance should rather focus on Value for money packs. Without any doubt, most popular plan will be 3GB for 250 rupees.. For high bandwidth users, reliance may come up with 25-50 GB data for around 1k.
If one needs unlimited internet, opting for good old DSL or fibre is a much better option.

Agreed!
Hope they give at least 50GB for 1K.

Cost wise it won’t make much difference to them if they give you 5 GB or 50GB for 1k. Data costs next to nothing. Hopefully, we will know the plans soon.
@desibuddy Which part of south Tamil nadu?

It won’t cost much but their network would choke and eventually crash. 25 gb for 1k would be good. They are launching jio fibre too.

OMG Thats really amazing. Airtels 2GB net itslef is ore than that. Is it company specific or can we get it just by showing our employee ID card?
If it is avaiable for all employees then half of our recharge problems will be solved.
Calls made through the voLTE will not be considered as data usage. Because if they are giving the In app usage free then they will also provide in app usage for the JIO JOIN app free which is used for VolTe calls. So No worries.
kaha gye sab 15 august lauch wale?

Yup that’s what would happen if people get a whiff of such cheap plans, not saying they’re great but would be much cheaper (by 2~4x) as compared to current data plans, especially 3/4G dongles.
