Replacement of Lightening deal items (Amazon)

Have you guys ever tried replacement on “lightening deal” products on Amazon?

I have availed replacement of products (avl in higher value later than the selling price) on normal sale and the difference has been borne by Amazon when they are at fault. But, can’t remember any such case for any lightening deal items that has been delayed/ damaged in transit or not delivered to the customer. Now they are denying it saying no such thing ever happened in their system, neither for Amazon nor Customer’s fault. Is this true? It’s hard to believe!

Any regular Amazon shopper can share their experience in this regard.

You should be more specific with you question or at least I didn’t get you. Are they denying replacement for any of your product? In some cases they might not offer replacement due to lack of stock from that particular seller.

If it’s about the item not being delivered to you (lost/damaged) amazon has never created a replacement for that order when I have asked them. But I have got that done on amazon.com as an exception (they have specifically mentioned that).

Not sure of lightening deals, but even for fashion products (that we got in yesterday’s or such similar loots that happened in the recent time) they are not giving option to replace due to size issues, as per CC only refund option is available, which remains non viable as they would adjust the refund with cashback and the effective benefit of deal is lost, so have to be a bit more careful with amazon now

That’s pathetic! confused

Amz used to be the trused name in such cases. I’ve recommended many in the past to order with confidence as I’ve availed the same many times.. even after 2-3 days when the particular size is available again.. irrespective of the price.

Yeah, Amazon has removed replacement option for now. I haven’t replaced any product in a while so I can’t say when it was removed but I believe it was because of last week’s loot. I think we can contact cc to create a replacement order.

Amazon’s support is degrading day by day and for better or worse, we (the looters) are responsible for it. We try to exploit any trick to the extent that it stop to work and that is making genuine customer’s life difficult.

Just be careful while ordering.

Yes, I too felt that heat today. And completely agree about the CC quality. It seems like they have hired the Fakeclues or Snakedeal CC team in bulk (may be third part service, as Airtel once hired reliance call centre and the result we all know) whose only reply was.. sir, we understand blah blah but we can’t help you in that regard. THE SYSTEM IS NOT ALLOWING US TO DO SO. Else we’d have happily done it.. I mean seriously? When asked to trf to the higher (I have gone to 4 levels) they all came same as promised by the lowest level. The same hopelessness and cheesey unnecessary BS you don’t want to hear as a customer.

Earlier, there were many manual interventions and the resolutions did look promising. I think they have done a complete overhaul in the management level to manage the loss they have incurred till now. And the current sales is not looking any interesting either.. just copy paste of past deals. Is Amazon really in the sinking boat? 🤔

I haven’t replaced any product in a while infact not replaced in last 6 months.
Yeah this is may be because of last week loots.
Amazon is becoming Second Flipkart now.

I was also thinking like, all this is happening due to the recent loots.. but no.. they are going insane now. I surely shall be more careful from now onwards.. it’s horrible! The future doesn’t look good.

Also, the loot thing was their coders fault only. And the guy who manages all legal implications. The TnC was complicated. @androgame @Roushh

Guys! I don’t know if they follow DD or what.. but just now received a call from their escalation team to confirm me about the order status and replacement. I have asked him for the replacement, if possible, as my return is still on the way.. which was categorically denied by the CC then, stating system BS and all that. But, further asked me to call after 48 hours (as per return policy) to check for the availability at the same price and only then replacement can be done. rolleyes

To my surprise, that guy confirmed me about the availability in the system that manages replacement even now.. and I was like.. huh! 😲 Are you guys for real?

Anyways, I did ask him to go ahead and place the order on my behalf and do away with that pick up point CB. Those offers are really useless like Amazon EMI or UPI offer. Better to get the product first. Let’s see if it still comes or get stuck again.. LoL..
