Have you guys ever tried replacement on “lightening deal” products on Amazon?

I have availed replacement of products (avl in higher value later than the selling price) on normal sale and the difference has been borne by Amazon when they are at fault. But, can’t remember any such case for any lightening deal items that has been delayed/ damaged in transit or not delivered to the customer. Now they are denying it saying no such thing ever happened in their system, neither for Amazon nor Customer’s fault. Is this true? It’s hard to believe!

Any regular Amazon shopper can share their experience in this regard.

Not sure of lightening deals, but even for fashion products (that we got in yesterday’s or such similar loots that happened in the recent time) they are not giving option to replace due to size issues, as per CC only refund option is available, which remains non viable as they would adjust the refund with cashback and the effective benefit of deal is lost, so have to be a bit more careful with amazon now

That’s pathetic! confused

Amz used to be the trused name in such cases. I’ve recommended many in the past to order with confidence as I’ve availed the same many times.. even after 2-3 days when the particular size is available again.. irrespective of the price.

You should be more specific with you question or at least I didn’t get you. Are they denying replacement for any of your product? In some cases they might not offer replacement due to lack of stock from that particular seller.

If it’s about the item not being delivered to you (lost/damaged) amazon has never created a replacement for that order when I have asked them. But I have got that done on amazon.com as an exception (they have specifically mentioned that).

contact them on [email protected] In last independence day sale, they adjusted the price difference of 2500 for a washing machine which they failed to deliver.

They have a logical reason for that. Many of the sizes which don’t move like other sizes are sold at deep discounts to get rid of stock. If they allowed size replacement then people would just buy the discounted item and later get it replaced for the size they need. Amazon would end up with the stock they wanted to get rid of and lose money on sizes which would have anyway sold.

Yes, am a bit less in the description. Sorry for that. It’s the second case and I am nowhere at fault for the same. They agree to this and the smartest thing is they mention it as “rejected by the customer” where in I have asked to deliver it to the pick up point at the first place. So, no chance of any rejection from my side as I can’t cancel it either..

Secondly, the product was never out for delivery. It has just arrived at the final destination point where it is supposed to get delivered next and then returned back.

Those inside Amazon confirm it very casually that sometimes delivery guys choose that option form the available options. I asked.. why?? Isn’t there other options avl to play game with? To which they were damn silent! SMH!!

Yeah, Amazon has removed replacement option for now. I haven’t replaced any product in a while so I can’t say when it was removed but I believe it was because of last week’s loot. I think we can contact cc to create a replacement order.

Amazon’s support is degrading day by day and for better or worse, we (the looters) are responsible for it. We try to exploit any trick to the extent that it stop to work and that is making genuine customer’s life difficult.

Just be careful while ordering.

Actually am gonna write a long descriptive mail to them. So many issues now a days to break that trust.. obviously we (customers/ looters) are to be blamed too at some point. But, this is the least expected thing for a fulfilled product from Appario (Amz) to a prime member. I mean if you can’t build trust here.. then I think it can’t ever be built.

That’s them purely misleading us. Have experienced that with pick up point orders. Couple of my Rs.1 pantry loot orders were pulled back saying this. At first they said it was rejected by the customer and when pointed out that it was a pick up order they said its the same.

When I spoke to the supervisor she also tried selling me the same stuff and again I had to point that it was a pick up location. I had to explain her what’s a pick up order (either she really didn’t know or she was acting) after which she told she will look into their internal package movement updates. She took a couple of minutes and said it was a pricing error so the orders had to be pulled back.

She did refuse to create a replacement order as it was a pricing mistake and told me bluntly to mail resolutions in case I am not happy with her response.

Yes, the second case happened with me but it was marked as ‘return received’ not rejected by customer. I got to know from cc that due to damage in transit package was sent back and never delivered to me. I told them that I would like the item and not refund. They asked me to order again and after delivery they will credit the difference amount. I had to call them up once after delivery but it worked out for me. Hope it works out for you as well. Just keep asking for promised product and not refund blush

Yes, I too felt that heat today. And completely agree about the CC quality. It seems like they have hired the Fakeclues or Snakedeal CC team in bulk (may be third part service, as Airtel once hired reliance call centre and the result we all know) whose only reply was.. sir, we understand blah blah but we can’t help you in that regard. THE SYSTEM IS NOT ALLOWING US TO DO SO. Else we’d have happily done it.. I mean seriously? When asked to trf to the higher (I have gone to 4 levels) they all came same as promised by the lowest level. The same hopelessness and cheesey unnecessary BS you don’t want to hear as a customer.

Earlier, there were many manual interventions and the resolutions did look promising. I think they have done a complete overhaul in the management level to manage the loss they have incurred till now. And the current sales is not looking any interesting either.. just copy paste of past deals. Is Amazon really in the sinking boat? 🤔

Thx for that info. Yes, I remember of availing the same in the past. But today the case was completely different. When I asked what resolution can you provide in this case to get my product and not refund. To which their ans was “Sorry sir, the only resolution we can provide you is the refund of the balance amount once the item reaches the warehouse”. I mean wtf.. is not that automated? What the hell you need to do to resolve my issue?? Chaps don’t understand that either..

Thankfully I have managed to get the refund cancelled as of now. (That too at the fourth level.. rest all denied that bluntly saying once the refund has been approved by the system it can’t be cancelled.. pathetic!) Now will try something else with this thing when I get some free time in hand. Really these new people suck!

I haven’t replaced any product in a while infact not replaced in last 6 months.
Yeah this is may be because of last week loots.
Amazon is becoming Second Flipkart now.

I was also thinking like, all this is happening due to the recent loots.. but no.. they are going insane now. I surely shall be more careful from now onwards.. it’s horrible! The future doesn’t look good.

Also, the loot thing was their coders fault only. And the guy who manages all legal implications. The TnC was complicated. @androgame @Roushh

Guys! I don’t know if they follow DD or what.. but just now received a call from their escalation team to confirm me about the order status and replacement. I have asked him for the replacement, if possible, as my return is still on the way.. which was categorically denied by the CC then, stating system BS and all that. But, further asked me to call after 48 hours (as per return policy) to check for the availability at the same price and only then replacement can be done. rolleyes

To my surprise, that guy confirmed me about the availability in the system that manages replacement even now.. and I was like.. huh! 😲 Are you guys for real?

Anyways, I did ask him to go ahead and place the order on my behalf and do away with that pick up point CB. Those offers are really useless like Amazon EMI or UPI offer. Better to get the product first. Let’s see if it still comes or get stuck again.. LoL..
