Please suggest the best Android smartphone with 5" display under 10k. Not interested in Mi.
I have shortlisted Lenovo P1m and K5 Plus – which is better?

K5 Plus
Better SnapDragon Processor, Much better build quality, 4G + VoLTE, better Cameras
It is much more current device right now hence you get Android Marshmallow and stuff
But overall if you ask me under 10k I would say Redmi 3S Prime which also is a 5" device.
What exactly is your issue with Xiaomi?.

issue with Xiaomi? You will find my response funny – I don’t like the way they are invading the Indian market. Lenovo is Chinese too, but they have been here long and feels like an Indian brand. I guess I should change my attitude to get a wider choice!

That’s 5.5".
For 5.5", there are many more choices. I have an 8" tablet, hence looking for a 5" phone. I prefer 4.3-4.5" but realized there are hardly any 2015-16 models!
@enapster wrote:Oppositely Xiaomi feels more regional to me. They do a lot for Indian users that even home grown companies don’t do. 75%+ smartphones sold by them in India currently is locally manufactured, Indian specific features in their MIUI, a special community for Indian users and what not. I haven’t seen any other brand from anywhere do these things. And Lenovo was in India much before because it is actually an old company.

I think it had got more to do with my psyche that the reality.. I did not know about Xiaomi manufacturing in India. I knew that most “Indian” electronics brand manufacture in China or Nearby countries. Lenovo has the IBM legacy which is again no Indian!
@enapster wrote:In fact the phone I’m recommending – Redmi 3S will be there first phone to be fully manufactured in India. No imports.

I like Samsung, but I hadn’t even looked at that brand due to high price / low specs. On7 Pro is 5.5". On5 Pro looks good – exactly the same specs as On7 Pro except the smaller screen and 2k less price. Added to my shortlist. Thanks.

So what did you finalize?
@ENGINEER Not bought yet. My current shortlist is Lenovo K5 Plus, Redmi 3S Prime and Samsung On5 Pro – all 5", under 10k and good config for the price.
