lets suppose you have 80k limit, you transfered 20k to credit card,
Can you use this 1 lakh in one go, while originally credit limit is 80k only

It is chargeable but you can transcat it will be successful if 10-20% extra of Ur limit
My limit is 30k and I have done 32k spend on single day without extra charges
With some limitations like small amount you can’t do transaction 20k more than limit you can try it will decline.

Same I want to know about ICICI APay Card.
My limit is over. Now if I want, Can I pay say 10k, to my card nd do transaction worth 10k?
Yes u can, if u pay 10k automatically balance will show as 10k then u can use that amount
I had tried this several times on an ICICI card back in 2013. Limit was too low . Used to Pay upfront, increased the limit and make purchases. There were no charges. Don’t know what’s the scene now
@Dastro you can do it provided 80k limit is completely un-utilized and that advance payment reflects in SBI system.
Available credit limit on SBI website should show 1 lac in this case.

I also think so, but if anyone tried and tested this method would be better.
As cc on call told me that you can use only 80k after that extra 20k will be adjusted to your outstanding and you won’t be able to spend 1 lakh in one go.
I have read on dd something like this works well that’s why posted to confirm if any dimer tried with sbi credit card.
Try Adding a small amount to your account to check if it gets added to credit limit or not
Available limit will never show above 80k.
It would show -20k meaning u have 20k excess
And in one day u can spend only 80k max credit limit
After 24hrs usually 1.30-2.00 am Ur limit will be adjusted.
If u have made 20k excess payment. It will show availabile limit as 20k and u can do transcation of 20k.
Overdue is generally some 2k above credit limit and it will charge some 450rs for using overlimit
