The Ultra Slim model is only slightly thinner and has a better looking case. But the older, regular Slim model actually received better performance scores on most benchmarks. Now you decide what you really want.

I can not compare the two since I’ve only used WD myself. A friend of mine has Seagate and he finds it good as well. I would suggest you to go by DS’ advice above. Performance is more important than size… well, anywhere.
