Seriously Be alert on Online Shopping (specially Amazon)

you may have seen many such videos earlier, but at that time we used to say buy from amazon fulfilled sellers only as amazon claims that in Az Fulfilled items they store, pack and ship items themselves from Amazon warehouse.
But in past few months i noticed Amazon fulfilled is big joke, Amazon has allowed many sellers to keep item in seller’s warehouse and sellers handle packing themselves and then amazon courier partner pick it from there. logically this should be called amazon delivered item not amazon fulfilled but some sellers got this privilege.
I am saying this bcoz in some A fulfilled orders i received were completely different and low cost items, sellers were highly rated, however i rejected some of those orders at time of delivery as packing itself showing item is wrong.
I did complain this to amazon but as usual they rant that internal team will investigate this and we cant discuss internal matters with you, when i gave negative ratings to seller then amazon removed it saying amazon take responsibility of A fulfilled orders, this is the scenario.

in short – Amazon fulfilled items are not necessary to be shipped from Amazon own warehouse and checked by amazon staff before packing. only Amazon know better why they have such policy which can allow any seller to do fraud.
so always check item even if your order is Amazon Fulfilled.

surprised how you are thinking like someone who is very new to (on-line) shopping. rolleyes
even they themselves sometimes confess that at times even EasyShip sellers or items get shown as fulfilled.
and even otherwise, in times of bulk orders or deals/sales days, many premier sellers (big dealers, brands themselves) are allowed to let orders get processed and picked from their own premises too.
same used to be the case (as per their weird policy) with fragile or LED type items (back in 2013-14)
ps: i’ve not checked the youtube link yet. but ordering Viinod cookware or other brands whose own big premises are in same town as Amazon, they often pick-up from the company warehouse.

edit: okay, now having seen, can confirm that buyer isn’t particularly intelligent or tactful [@desidude2013 posted it https://www.desidime.com/forums/dost-and-dimes/topic... few days back]
the lady/guy is obviously a dhakkan to not able to manage even customer support on this rather alarming issue (assuming it to be true).
by the way, where did you find the seller details or if it was Amazon fulfilled? sad

because the poolis are just as foolish (but then, being from BI.MA.R.U.H. states or NCR, it is understandable) in booking the country head of the company/platform!
even when these things got ironed out almost a decade back, a few years after Avnish Bajaj’s arrest made us a laughing stock for the world http://macworld.com/article/1041530/expert...ml back in early 2000s.
though the case is not entirely comparable to the listing of a ‘bhajan’ by the IITian on baazee.com

even a jack-ass (by now) knows that the relevant sections of Cyber Crime, I.T. Act, Indan contracts Act have long been updated to keep the platform and definitely so the top management not involved in day to day ops.
OUT of the purview of being made a counterparty in the first stage.

but i daresay if the jack-asses or their SHO at the Bisrakh ‘thana’ knew any better! i’m unsure if the seller was even named in the complaint!


even if one ignores or doesn’t recall the 2004 baazee.com case, booking the head of the subsidiary that manages the platform, is like booking Manoj Sinha for some obscene call or MMS one received. or booking Smuty Irani in a complaint about some rather risqué content getting aired at prime time on some terrestrial channel. sad

I have faced a similar problem with ratings on Amazon, even as a verified buyer they reject certain reviews of products, especially negative reviews. I will still give them some benefit of doubt for their CS, but the higher ups are living in cuckoo land. They don’t respond to mails properly or if they do they just give this excuse that it’s company policy or some such BS, without actually solving the root of the problem rage

This sounds like a middle management crisis, they better wake up or the name Amazon will be remembered as also-ran in a few years smiling_imp
