@Sherl unless emotions are attached to the cargo or you do not easily get perturbed with loss or damage to cargo due to mishandling or (even total loss; theft) the railways or even durGati work to your economical advantage. but if old memories or say, the emotion of gifting it to someone is concerned, then pass those.

the weight by volume ratio goes adversely in this case so the rates will not go beyond a point due to odd size. since you categorically mentioned ‘.. I know all courier partners provide these..’ i presume you are perusing those options.

one not so refined way or entirely paperwork based way is to find a good bus-service/ passenger bus-service that goes enroute from the destination point.. and officially/unofficially let few MKG printed currency notes guide you further.

you are right about the difference in rates for walk-in’s versus long standing accounts being a factor of 5 or 6 also in some cases.

unfortunately, i do not have any directly positive leads on that front. (frankly, DD isn’t a place where i can know people enough for me to go ahead and take that favour or request such favour from others)

also, if it is not urgent.
since you discarded the quickr option upfront being unviable, can you look if listing it on-line :blush: and sale to self via alternate account might help !

I do recollect at least 4-5 guys here on DD itself having frequent work associated with bookings and a few even mentioned they could help others in need to get good quotes or might help facilitate the use of a running account.
