SMART SWITCH query related to electricity consumption

Just out of curiosity, if we keep the smart plug in the socket with switch ON then does it consume Electricity even if the attached plug or switch is OFF
Because for all smart plugs they have to be ON from the main switch, RIGHT?
same goes with smart lights.
kindly enlighten me if any 1 knows about this.

Obviously.. it will consume some of power… It’s always connected to WiFi.. when you turn on from mobile… It glows up
