Smart TV UI of Apps like Netflix vs Smartphone UI of it

I have a MI 4a pro TV and I find the UI in apps like Netflix or YouTube too clumsy and with less features and difficult to use. Although I can CAST the same from my phone to TV but while casting Netflix doesn’t give option of Quality and YouTube doesn’t give quality, playback speed etc.

Currently I download offline in YouTube and then watch via miracast and screen sharing to overcome it but there is a latency in it.

What do you guys do? And do you encounter this or similar instances?
