Snapdeal exploring merger with Flipkart, Amazon; is a mega e-commerce consolidation in offing?

they don’t have any recent funding,also they are delaying their sellers payments,lost of complaints by sellers.

VCCircle has a reputation of coming up with news just out of thin air. I would take it with a pinch of salt.

Flipkart, a minor possibility but Amazon would be a big no I guess. Anyways, I think the major mergers are still one or two years away and might happen only when Alibaba plans to seriously step into the game directly in India.

Isn’t Softbank & Ratan TATA one of the major shareholders in SD? There’s a very small chance this merger will go through with Amazon, though there were same rumors regarding Jabong & amazon as well & we know what happened. Amazon doesn’t need SD or FK to survive in India, there brand is just too strong, though Alibaba is a different story & could very well snag SD at a discount
