I am thinking of getting a Snapdeal HDFC Credit Card. I basically want it to buy Woohoo GV and then convert them to Amazon GV. There is always 5% off available on Snapdeal HDFC credit cards as well as 10x reward points.
So basically I will be buying 3000 woohoo GV for Rs 150 off + 200 Reward points(Rs 100).
Rs 150 spent =2 point = Rs 1.
So total saving will be flushed 8.3% smile: which is an Amazing deal.
I can buy maximum of Rs 10000 voucher every month. (T&C – The maximum discount eligible per card is capped at Rs.500 per calendar month for 5X reward)
Snapdeal CC link – https://www.snapdeal.com/offers/sd-hdf...rd
If anyone is using Sanpdeal CC plz clarify the following:
1. Is Snapdeal trustworthy to deliver Woohoo GV every time? (It does not have a customer care anymore confused )
2. Can I use Snapdeal promo codes to buy WooHoo vouchers? As no other product is worthy. ( T&C – The card users can log on to HDFC Bank credit card account and request for the Snapdeal promo codes of 500, 1000, 2000 with their reward points.)
3. Does Woohoo voucher fail to add balance sometimes as mentioned by some people? Some even lost 10k. cry
4. What is fuel surcharge?
{1% Fuel surcharge waiver:
a. Get 1% Fuel surcharge waiver for the transactions between Rs.400 & Rs.5000.
b. The maximum fuel surcharge waiver will be Rs.250 per statement cycle.}
5. Can I use the CC to buy on Amazon/Flipkart as well for buying things during offer period which has some offer on HDFC CC?
6. Will I get reward points for spending on Amazon/Flipkart or anywhere else as well?

Anyone owns this card?
Is it easy to get?

It’s easy , but only benefit is discount on woohoo. If woohoo stops giving discount then it is useless. Further it is chargeable too.

+1 I’m also looking to get this card. Actually 10X reward points means 10 times normal reward points = 20 reward points per 150 – it would work out to more than 10%

1. I’ve got all Woohoo vouchers within reasonable time from Snapdeal – the order fulfillment is by seller -which is Woohoo here. So, no prob on this.

2. This I also want to know, but my research until now points to they would give Snapdeal gift card which are NOT valid on any gift vouchers including Woohoo. worried

3. Never faced this issue even single time since old giftbig days

4. When you use any credit card at petrol pumps, they charge 1%+GST as surcharge/service charge. Many credit cards waive it off.

5. Yes, this is a normal HDFC credit card also – so all website HDFC offers would be applicable on Snapdeal HDFC card also.

6. Yes, at normal rates – 2 points per 150

Got the card yesterday. Looks pretty good for a low-tier card. Started using it on snapdeal for woohoo voucher yesterday – got 100 instant discount on 2000 voucher.

Registered for online banking and saw rewards redemption options are 500 / 1000 / 1500 snapdeal gift voucher for 1040 / 2040 / 3040 reward points respectively (not sure why the + 40 reward points are for). Also redemption charges of 99 + GST per redemption is applicable. Currently, looks like it is normal Snapdeal gift voucher == not usable on woohoo / other gift cards. Need to see once after first redemption.

Regarding points accrual, t&c is that only normal points (2 per 150) would come in this statement, the bonus rewards for snapdeal transactions (18 more per 150) would come only in next statement. Will wait and see next month for proper bonus points tracking and also need to wait till I get 3000 or more points to go for redemption smile

Got my first statement – got 2 rewards per 150 (no points for partial amounts) for all transactions in this statement.

Rewards point balance in online banking currently showing the remaining 18 rewards per 150 for Snapdeal transactions in the unbilled statement (this statement would be billed only next month and points available for redemption only after that).

Ya its coming almost 11.7% without GST and taxes. Plz clarify how much % would be the final benefit after every charge

HDFC rewards points value and conversion to money possible?

Deal Cadet Deal Cadet

Okay, two statements into the card, I see that some of the Snapdeal transactions are not getting 10X reward points. I highly suspect the transactions which come as “Jasper Infotech Privat GURGAON” in the statement, but while one transaction in one statement matches the missing points, other transaction in another statement doesn’t match the missing points. All the transactions with “Snapdeal” in the merchant name seems to have gotten 10X reward points.

I’ve raised a complaint with HDFC Bank for the same, let’s see what happens. This, if not fixed can impact your reward rate depending on luck of number of your transactions coming as “Snapdeal” and number of transactions coming as “Jasper Infotech”. For example, one of my statements, out of 2000 bonus reward points, only 1 txn worth 200 bonus reward points came as “Jasper”, but in another statement, out of 600 bonus reward points, more than 300 points came as “Jasper” confused.

@caks2006407 That is another issue, the points are worth 50p each, but you can redeem them only as Snapdeal gift vouchers. And I’m not sure if they give the same normal SD gift vouchers that can’t be used to buy other gift vouchers on Snapdeal. I’ll give another update once I redeem some points.

Do you get statement where reward points have been earned for each transaction?

Thx for the update!
Sadly woohoo is always ‘soldout’ – this card’s main attraction.

True, I’m also worried about the same thing. But if there are good offers on CT/MMT, big basket, spar, pepperfry vouchers etc, we can get through this card. But if Woohoo doesn’t come back in stock for a couple of months, I should probably close the card. grin
