also Google Pay, which offers UPI payments in India, is expected to soon offer Indian consumers the option to pay through debit or credit cards saved on the platform.
Avnish Miduthuri, product manager at Google, said the search giant is not only adding to the number of places where Google Pay will be accepted, but also working on increasing the ways of paying through the app.
“You can already accept cards and now PayPal (in the US and Germany), and coming soon Unified Payments (Interface) will be available via the same unified API,” he said at the conference. “That means, with a single integration, Indian merchants will be able to accept Google Pay from their users wherever they operate and global merchants can accept UPI payments for their Indian users.”

you can trade in rupees if merchant agree to accept.
anyways GooglePay Integrade UPI payment on Global merchants.
UPI support other currency transaction, you can pay in Dollar & Euro through UPI.
ok I was not aware UPI was available outside india. And ever since Rs was removed from trading in dubai when the british left, I did not know it was allowed outside india. You have to land in india to buy Rs.. Which is not the case fot most currencies.
UPI currently not available outside India but UPI support International currency.

PayPal through google pay? I dont see what for. Since paypal itself uses cards to make payments which you can do with google pay. And the main thing stopping this is currency conversion. Even with paypal you have to pay them in $$$ while you accept in $$$ and they transfer it in Rs. I think it is still illegal to trade Rs outside india.
