SpotTheSpot Campaign - Donate to a Good cause and help underprivileged girls with Sanitary pads

Hey guys,

We “dimers” are some of the fortunate ones… And I bumped into this campaign by SnapDeal which seems contributing to a very good cause to break taboo among our society.

https://www.snapdeal.com/offers/stop-th...ot

The current menstruating population of India is nearly 455 million and of those 88% do not use any sanitary products during their periods. This results in a drop of 31% in productivity levels of working women and almost one in every four adolescent girls in the country, quits school post reaching menarche. Further improper menstruation hygiene management leads to 70% increase in incidence of reproductive tract infections owing to poor menstrual hygiene. Contributions made by you can help underprivileged girls and women in India live a healthy as well as a dignified life.

We all save a lot of money via various deals… Lets contribute as much as we can and help raise awareness ….

Listen @admin bhai. if you can then do one thing, promote menstrual cups. It’s reusable, washable, so in my opinion it’s a greener alternative than sanitary pads. And the poor person can use it again and again. So, no biohazard products to worry about and a single solution for many years to come, is far more efficient.
Warning: it may interfere with IUDs.
Warning:Sanitary Pads contain bleach which could lead to cancer after prolonged usage

parents (especially of unmarried users) and users themselves are averse to intrusive solutions.

ones sourced from cheap manufacturing hubs (read: PRC) run the risk of causing irreversible issues due to non medical grade or sub standard silicone use.

there was a time http://lunacup.com would procure locally (within CA) or Europe. now no idea.
