The inbuilt speakers of MI TV are unlistenable. Can someone suggest a nice sound bar? The TV supports HDMI ARC and S/PDIF and has no 3.5mm aux port. The bluetooth sound lags behind one or two seconds. I was thinking “JBL Cinema SB150” but not sure if I can get a converter to connect to TV..

Should have gone for a branded Sony, Samsung, LG TV. Or even Indian ones like Micromax, VU etc. At least the sound would have been listenable, instead of going for these cheapass generic Chinese wholeseller brands.

I am using Blaupunkt SBW-01 soundbar and it has support for HDMI ARC and Bluetooth. For 7k, it’s worth. Got it from Flipkart.

https://www.flipkart.com/blaupunkt-sbw-01-dolby...

I have connected TV HDMI Out ARC to Soundbar HDMI ARC. Due to this I am able to control Soundbar volume using TV remote. Increasing/decreasing TV volume increases/decreases sound bar volume. I am able to connect via Bluetooth too, but I found sound clarity better via HDMI. Also this sound bar supports Dolby DTS and hence I have set the audio out in Set Top Box and Dolby DTS+. However I find volume is significantly lower in Dolby compared to Stereo. But stereo sound has little “hiss” which I guess is because it’s analog signal unlike HDMI which is digital.

Hey, thanks man!
Is it worth at current price 7.5K? Some reviewers claim they got it for 5999. Are you using it with mi tv or some other brand, was there hissing noise with mi hdmi?

Edit: Just found out there is an upcoming deal on that speaker https://www.desidime.com/forums/hot-deals-onlin...
Will keep an eye on that one.

I received the speaker yesterday and connected from TV HDMI (ARC) to speaker’s HDMI. Made sure the sound output on Mi TV is set to HDMI arc. But still no sound?

Did you set the input for sound bar as HDMI?

Yes. It shosw “Hd” on speaker display. I’m not sure if it is a problem with speaker or TV itself.
I’ve also hard reset the TV. Still no luck.

What’s the source of your TV? Does sound comes to soundbar via other ports?

Tatasky. Soundbar is working fine via bluetooth but there is a delay in audio.
Haven’t tried SPDIF. Not sure if optical and SPDIF are same..

Strange, it should work. It’s working for me with Airtel DTH.

Can you check in set top box setting what’s the audio out format? Is it stereo or Dolby DTS or Dolby DTS plus? For me all these outputs work, only thing is volume is little less in Dolby.
