I bought battery operated toy for my little daughter. Guy told me that better to buy rechargeable battery bcoz many toys will require battery.

So is it worth to buy rechargeable battery or keep using use & throw battery for toys?

Any suggestions which rechargeable battery to buy for toys? Like unirose, envie, eveready, panasonic etc.?
Also which mAH to buy? There are so many option – 800 mAH, 1500 mAH, 2100mAH, 2700 mAH

I have old uniross charger & battery. But not used since last 10 years. Tried to charge battery, it’s working but taking almost 24 hrs. To charge & after that it discharged within half an hour of use in toy. So new battery also have same charging time & discharge time? Then I can use my existing battery only without buying new one.

Kindly give suggestions. Thanx….

Buy Eneloop Rechargeable, preferably with a bundled charger that charges fast. I have AA and AAA Eneloop, been using them for over 4 years. Excellent stuff.

Read user reviews and product description before making a purchase.

1000mah batteries shd be good enough.. but if it’s some heavy toy like an RC car, which needs more power, better go for higher capacity ones. Even I have some 4-5 sets of these batteries for my kid’s toys like piano etc.

There is no harm in buying higher capacity ones as they would last longer.

Just do a price comparison n buy which suits your budget (esp during some sale or a loot).

Thanks. Eneloop has almost double price than uniross & other. Is it worth?
How much time it will take to full charge & then how much time it will run prior to discharge?

Charging speeds/time depend on battery capacity and charger output.
Search alternate batteries with good reviews if you find the price high. The double price might not be worth the gain if there are good battery alternatives.

I am using eveready the cheapest one. These batteries are not for serious stuff like clock etc. Coz one moment they are weak and after few hours high again even without charging. So best for non continuous usage.

I have 4 AA for kids car n doll which i got in combo with charger. Ordered two seperate aaa for fire tv remote which i haven’t recharged for now.

Golden rule is not overcharge these, i wont keep them in charger for more than 6 hours continuously.

dont use new batteries with old charger or vice versa

buy reputed brand product only for durability

capacity will degrade /reduce over time always

so better to buy bigger capacity to be useful over longer period of time.

Frankly speaking I don’t know difference beteeen AA & AAA battery even after google Search. Currently I have old rechargeable AA battery & it is working in toy. But it is getting discharge very fast.

My use is for toys & should last for 4-5 years. Budget not decided. It should be cost effective…
