Guys,
Below offers available on oneplu5 today in amazon:
1) Additional 2000 off on exchange ( i have one old mobile, asus zenfone5, offering 3K including this extra amount)
2) No Cost EMI (3months/6months)
3) SBI CC cashback (1500) applicable on EMI transactions as well.

This is really tempting to buy this OnePlus5. Though initially i thought my budget was 15K, but as No Cost EMI applicable on this, planning to go for this… though still in dilemma.. https://cdn2.desidime.com/assets/textile-editor/icon_rolleyes.gif

Only thing that is stopping me is SDCARD NOT supported. Its not even has hybrid sim slot so that i can buy adapter to use both sims & sd card…

Any comments/suggestions are welcome…

@skaluva

Skip oneplus 5 and buy honor 8 pro (http://www.amazon.in/dp/B01N...FH)

In addition to oneplus 5 offers It gives up to 2500 Amazon pay balance offer if you select 12 months emi on any card(http://www.amazon.in/b/ref=amb_link_248140607_3...)

By this not only you get higher storage(128GB) and save few bucks(3000 if considering to buy 64gb one , more if considering 128gb version)

Problem with huawei is no snapdragon processor. And one plus devices have excellent developer support.

Yes. Even the three year old Oneplus One is seeing a lot of development. With OP5 you have a device that’s gonna stay relevant for at least that much if not longer. Well after Oneplus itself has ended support. In case of Huawei the situation is not as bad as it was a couple of years ago but much remains to be done. Better HW vs Superior SW. Decisions, decisions…. Glad I don’t have to…

I was quite keen on Honor 8 Pro too but keep hearing a lot of issues about the device overheating, especially while using camera, so avoided it.

I have been trying to get a used phone for myself and search for tons of deals on OLX/Quikr/eBay since past few days and here is what I see

1. OnePlus devices have great resale value! The OP3T which is a generation old still sells for 21k+ easily.
2. Honor 8 Pro is a rare find and the price can be pushed down to as low as 22k or 23k for a device less than a month old whereas OP5 is being sold for around 30k, commands a much better resale value.

I finally ended up with S7 Edge though as that gave me the best ROI overall and couldn’t find any steal deal for used OP3T or OP5 on OLX.

Of course, most people might be least bothered about resale value so not sure if this even helps @skaluva but for me this is more like a temporary device that I use for 2 months at max so I was very concerned about getting a phone at great price and resale value of the device.

Thanks for the comment.

Yes . i too heard and saw reviews about heating issues with Honor 8 Pro.. thats one thing i’m looking at.. Actually i’m not a gamer, just need for daily use , but will watch videos/movies in the phone whenever i get time.. though i’m not sure, heating really effects my day-to-day use..

For me, looking for long term phone.. atleast for around 2yrs down the line.. https://cdn2.desidime.com/assets/textile-editor/icon_smile.gif
Resale value also one factor to be considered as you said…
