Are these charges okay or swiggy playing over-smart
approx 20% charge 
Items- Packed Namkeen
Packaging charge of Rs10 included, still only GST on 157 is Rs.30 i.e. approx 20%
P.S.- I have just checked my order history as I often order from the restaurant.
It was 12% tax, now they are charging 19%

Yes bro and prices are also hiked even a small restaurant after 70% discount one chapati is of 10rs
As far i know the taxes and charges differs for different restaurants.

Taxes depend on restaurant. SWIGGY is much better in terms of pricing, offers and discount.
ZOMATO will compensate their discount with their own Special Taxes+Delivery Fee+Surge Fee.
This total will be more than discount coupons.
GST and all taken by restaurants not by swiggy, bcuz not every restaurant has this.

both platforms are taking customers for a ride, specially in big cities
restaurants inflate price commonly upto 40%, provide low quality food
on top of that, most of my recent orders are delivered almost at the end of estimated time coz single rider is delivering multiple orders, so obviously food quality further goes down since it gets delivered after an hour

It depends on restaurants. Swiggy is still 100 times better than zomato when it comes to additional charges and delivery charges. Buy swiggy super and get rid of most of these additional charges except tax
you can’t get rid of packaging charges, which is another way of looting by restaurants
bk charges 40 rs. for packaging, some local restaurants also do the same for a 5 rs. container
Swiggy has also started looting now.
my favourite fish price has increased from 280 to 390 after the cursed LPG price hike and now I can’t eat as often I want bcz after the discount range is now non existent 😫
p.s. order from restaurants that has less or no taxes, some small eateries do that. Except zomato.. they charges tax on those restaurants too 😒
