Swiggy No Longer Providing Coupons For Order Complaints ??

We sometimes need to buy food from Swiggy & earlier they used to always issue coupons if there were any issues with the orders like missing foods, stale/rotten foods etc…

I had to buy some foods from two restaurants & on both occasions, the restaurants sent us totally stale food which we had to throw away…Earlier when I used to report these cases to them, they used to provide coupons immediately either on their desktop help’s automated chat or later by email…

But since last few weeks, they are no longer providing coupons to me to compensate…Instead they are sending me same copy-pasted generic emails everytime without providing any resolution to the problem…

This has happened two times in a row & we lost the money spent on the foods because Swiggy neither refunded nor compensated with the coupons…

Is this happening with you guys too ?? rolleyes

If you use the same account again and again, they would stop issuing coupons and refunds, no matter if your case is genuine or not
Switch your account
Also this might be due to lockdown, most companies are in cost cutting mode

I have only two phone numbers…Then I think I will have to use my brother’s & mom’s numbers also but this is not a solution as we frequently need to order food online…

Some restaurants are intentionally sending stale foods & Swiggy now only accepting online payments…

We lost about like 1000 in two orders because of no refunds or coupons…

Our home-delivery person from whom we used to take daily food is not working for the lockdown so we are having to take food from Swiggy & Zomato sometimes…Zomato’s service is more worst though…Their restaurants here keep on delivering old & stale food & Zomato never helped in any of those orders even before the lockdown…Then we had to stop using Zomato & only order from Swiggy…Now restaurants in swiggy never used to deliver stale food before the lockdown but now doing this…

Restaurants know that Swiggy & Zomato won’t provide refunds to the customers now so jaan bujhke baasi foods de rahe hain I think…

You should mark these resturant and not order from them also you should check resturant ratings before ordering.
We also relied on swiggy and Zomato for our food for some time but never had such issues except 1-2 times when we ordered very late night and from not a very good resturant.

Yes. Swiggy stopped coupons/refunds for all accounts past 20 days. Customer service chat also disabled except bot chat

Restaurants I had these issues from had atleast 3.8+ ratings…Atleast in Swiggy, I never had this problem except a couple of times when ordered from non-reputed restaurants…But it was always common in Zomato for me…

Actually the problem is, much less restaurants are working at the moment on both Swiggy & Zomato because of the lockdown, so we are not always finding the same food in multiple restaurants plus Swiggy no longer allowing coupons like SwiggyIT so much higher prices have to pay if need to buy from top-rated restaurants where the food is considerably much costlier than the smaller restaurants…

A simple dosa is being charged @ 120-140/- including delivery charges now…

Before Zomato used to use free Google Maps (when they didn’t takeover UberEats) to locate addresses & that time I had to face a lot of problems with Zomato because their delivery people used to call me & used to say, “Sorry Sir, your location is showing different in the map & I am some KMs away from your home & due to Zomato’s rules, I can’t deliver your food because your address is showing at a different place in the map…”

Then I called Zomato support & all they had to say to me “Sorry Sir, we can neither deliver your food, nor we can refund your money as it’s against our policy”…

Then I had to call again the delivery person who used to stop receiving my calls…

I was like what the fuc* ?? Either deliver my food or refund my money ?? But Zomato support were always stubborn of not giving anything because of their own mistakes of using free Google maps…They even used to blame me that I provided my own address wrong in their app even when I always even mention the most nearby landmark to my house alongwith the complete address…I had to shout a lot on the Zomato executive & even maine chor bola unko phone pe, still they kept on denying on both the food & the refund…Then I had to raise disputes with PayTM to get my money back…

All these problems were happening because they were using free Google maps which not always shows accurate location info…

After these problems, I had to completely stop ordering from Zomato…Then after they acquired UberEats, now they are using the Uber’s maps I guess as the delivery person coming to my place properly…But providing the stale food is still continued from Zomato doesn’t matter how many restaurants I tried from…

Exactly…Earlier they used to give me instant coupons on the bot chat itself but now the bot chat asks me to “Add Comments” & tells me that, I will get a reply by email…And like you said, they disabled the option to talk to a real representative…

All restaurants sending crap these days. I request everyone not to order anything from any sandwich/burger shop. They are just keeping a plain bread with mayo for all types of sandwiches. Juices only water with rotten fruits

Multiple Acc me credits jama karke dusro ko 50% pe order karte hai laughing

Already did bro…Several times…Read in the earlier page…They tell me everytime that they couldn’t identify from the pics that the food was stale…Zomato does this same thing to avoid refunds too…

It’s true that it can’t be identified by only looking at the photos so both Swiggy & Zomato are applying this policy now…They are asking for photos & when giving them the pics, they are saying that they couldn’t identify the food quality from the pics so can’t issue refunds/coupons…

Mujhe pata hain kaafi dimers aisi cheeze as a part time/full-time business ke tarah chalate hain…

I also have only one Amazon account since 2013 & I saw someone wrote here in a thread few days ago that he has 500 Amazon accounts lol…

For few people, other people will have to suffer too…
