think twice before buying expensive products online

It’s just bad luck. Millions of people buy expensive products everyday and they are all fine. We only get to know about such incidents once in a while but they are rare.

1. Check for tempering before accepting the delivery. If the box is tempered then don’t accept. Not only because they might have stolen the product but another reason is, if the box is tempered then there is a good chance that the expensive electronics you have bought may have been damaged too.

2. Always record a video of unboxing. That’s the best defense against such issues.

There are cases where customer are frauds also fake news is pretty common today don’t believe everything you see on internet.

so guys, don’t take risk with hard earned money. i am not telling you to don’t buy any expensive products online. but please think twice before buying. take proper care.

1) make order as COD if possible.
2) otherwise load money into your amazon pay balance and pay for the order. amazon pay is best for fastest refund if any fraud happened. don’t depend on banks. if any refund issues happened sometimes bank says “contact amazon” and amazon says “contact bank”
3) ask the delivery boy to unbox the parcel.
4) shoot video while unboxing the parcel.

more tips:-

1) if you are constructing your own house then buy any smartphone online. if you received a rock instead smartphone, use the rock in construction.
2) otherwise you can use the rock for smashing jaggery.
3) if you found any rock available for sale online buy it quickly as possible. you may get a smartphone instead the rock.

Delivery boy will never agree to open it for you.! He has many orders to fulfill..

Rarely they do but most of the time they won’t. Although I have noticed that sometimes they write OBD (open box delivery) on the screen where we sign. I have argued with a few delivery boys that why did they mark it open box delivery when it was not. Had to get it removed after arguing for 5 mins.

At my location, they don’t let us open the box if we do not pay for the COD order first. So ordering a product on COD doesn’t make any difference.

now every mobile phone comes with secure packaging and one need to check it before accepting.

but most of the times return pickup agent open and checks the package…….

People Say nothing was received or show some other stuff.
It works in case of low value products have seen people doing this cheap stuff.
I don’t support this kind of fraud nobody should do this.

It was a trend few time back on YouTube and social media where people’s used to place rock or soap after removing original thing like phone and then repack it and then do a unboxing and show it’s a fraud. These spread over what’s app and internet like fire and everybody say it happens but nobody talks about thousands of order where people get them without any issues.

The fraud are not only done by sellers
The delivery guys do that- they remove original product in between
The delivery guys who takes products from seller to warehouse also do that
Even customer do that
Yes sellers do that too- 1 for getting free reimbursement they send something and ask reimbursement, 2 to prevent his seller matrix from getting bad if he doesn’t have a stock he can send anything there can be more but i know these now
Also a seller who want to go long way will never do this as this might get him few money but he can lose his whole business as it is all about rating.

Happened with me 2 years back when i ordered a redmi phone and got a broken blackberry phone with a charger inside it ..
immediately reported it to amazon and got Refund .. they took pictures from me and reported it to investigation team .
so i think there are no issues with amazon atleast , cant say about Flipkart .

always open parcel in front of camera, so u hv valid proof. If u hv proof nobody can scam you

Don’t buy online, spend 10-25% or even more and get it from local shops

And BTW First thing to avoid while ordering online is this (Especially from Questionable sellers)

Marketplace won’t take any responsibility if you get a rock instead of a phone if its COD but if its a prepaid payment, marketplace will only reimburse the payment once the return period is done

3) ask the delivery boy to unbox the parcel.

This will never happen unless the Delivery person is a noob
If decides to open the box only to find out that there’s a rock instead of phone (+ you rejecting the parcel), he will end up paying the actual amount to marketplace or the seller (Unless it is a open-box Delivery like FK & Amazon is offering for large appliances)

Darshita is a Fake/Namesake seller
[It is actually Amazon ]
The only reason it exists as a different entity is because of selling reforms (No Single entity is allowed to have major stake in a marketplace)
It is obviously the shipping company that scammed you
or someone from the shipping warehouse ( Many times i got returned/used/damaged goods with a broken seal from Cloudtail India when i opted for a replacement )

I m in a WhatsApp group and one member is doing this. He receives original product then packs the box with some thing else and then record video and doing complaint. Flipkart is also giving him refunds.
So it might be this way also

i also bought 2 nos. note 8 pro for friends…told them to make vdo of opening the box..it were phones only

So what are you waiting for, report him/his number to Flipkart. Atleast give Flipkart a chance to block a account for genuine reason.

Not necessarily. These scammers are getting smarter. Nowdays they try to keep the weight and dimension of the box same.

So if your friend is doing something unethical and illegal, you will support him. Or you are in the group to learn some tricks like these yourself.
Moreover he is your friend that is why you should definitely tell your friend to stop this. Today, tomorrow or in future he will be caught and might face fraud or legal issue.

Video would have been more authentic if video was shot right from when the plastic packet was opened !?!

Maybe staged. As someone pointed maybe by shopkeepers association.
