“Arguing is one of the greatest wastes of time and energy. There is a 99.99% probability that you are not going to change someone’s belief system. They made up their mind a long time ago and it is anchored to their identity.”

Thanks buddy! Kg
Who is this Joseph burns?
argument is not always about pitching your side, atleast i do it to see others perspective. To know their reasons for it.
what you believe is not necessarily always right. and argument helps you consider things that you haven’t before.
It depends upon the kind of arguement u r having!

If you are arguing for the sake of winning it, you are bound to get entangled in it, because guess what, the other party is also trying to win and change your belief system. We are so much wanting to impose our belief system onto others.
Whereas if you are arguing for the sake of only the subject, you are never going to lose because you don’t care if someone takes your beliefs or not, you are just interested in that subject alone, then it’s not going to be a waste of time and energy.
A smart guy once said
In an argument if you lose, you end up adding your knowledge,
However if you win, you end up adding your ego.
Another smart guy said,
It’s funny how easily our small minds can be made to believe anything and yet we carry our beliefs with so much pride.
Well said!
