hello friends I have an important query my father has a basic samsung phone he got a new Android marshmallow phone now how can I transfer around 1200 contacts from basic phone to this new Android phone the phone is having a memory card but have no option to copy phone contacts to memory card
the phone has USB facility

thank you so much for the comet a SIM card can hold only around 2:50 contacts are there any SIM cards or can hold more than that and how to create a VCF contact and what to do after that
Setup a google sync acc on ur old ph and syc contacts on google acc
Now ur contacts will be stored on google acc .
As soon as u setup ur android ph using this google acc u will get all contacts on new ph

Other method would be to create a contact backup on ur old ph .
There is an option in setting
No u can rename backup file as backup.zip and open via zip viewr
There u should see .vcf file
With vcf u cn proceed further
If nbu file is created u might need nbuexplorer
Other method would be using nokiapc suite (not sure)

No nokia pcsuite will not work .otheer 3rd party software like mobiledit might work
I have similar question. How to backup contacts of an old Nokia 1100?
transfer 250 contact from old phone to sim then transfer these in new phone. repeat these steps again and again till all contact get transfered 
Actually, there’re many android data transfer apps could transfer data between android device and computer. You ca transfer contacts from samsung to computer first, then conncect another phone to computer to import contacts to it.
