uber has removed CC in latest app ,but still working in one old version (can’t tell which )

Yes, uber is still a loss making company even till date. The article you shared talks only about revenue generated and not about profits. Search for Uber’s P/L statement that got leaked few months ago and you will know how much loss they are incurring each quarter.
