Use Magisk root and hide root from banking or wallet apps. I have been doing that and it works just fine. No problem whatsoever.

But rooted phone will not have much security to use wallets and banking apps.

Who told you that? Rooted phones have better security than non-rooted phones. Because you can decide who gets full access to your system partition.

One of the best video I came across on why you should root your phones.

I haven’t been using Google Pay so I can’t confirm. But it works with all other apps which do not operate on rooted phones.

Mobikwik, SBI app etc won’t even open if the device is rooted. Once I hide the root for these apps in Magisk manager, I can use them without any issue.

Maybe someone who is using Google pay can confirm.

Type this into that thing called Google. Read more about it. Trying to root a phone without proper knowledge may lead to bricking your device.

Also, know this that in 99% cases your warranty will void if you root your device.

Learn more about it and then decide if you should root or not.
