Unable to use American Express E-Prepaid Card

guys, after creating and loading the e-prepaid card, I am unable to use it. Its getting declined after feeding in the card details at merchant sites like amazon, paytm, snapdeal. its getting declined after amexsafekey page. any idea?

Check it on Ebay or Flipkart.If it’s not working there too then it might be the activation issue which dev007 pointed above.
It should bypass safekey for prepaid cards,
This is the big drawback for these.
I am confused why you want to use it 
No offer currently. And if testing for festive sales, then at times the min qualifying transaction is Rs. 15000 which can’t be made using this wallet.
WTF guys, at paytm it had failed and when i checked at my amex txn it shows deducted even when the txn was not successful at paytm and was not credited.
on top of it when i tried at ebay it got placed smoothly … didnt know untill few minutes that it had worked at ebay…. and now trying to cancel it which im struggling with coz im new to ebay
how the hell a person knows it was successful or no when there is not 3d password, vbv, master pass or otp thing and no sms or email alerts from amex???

Your money deducted at Paytm will be auto refunded in a week or so.No need to contact them for that.
As far as Amex prepaid card is concerned it won’t work on Snapdeal & Paytm.Works flawlessly at Ebay & Amazon n Flipkart too as far as I have checked recently.
FYI: American Express eprepaid card would be discontinued in future. not sure on the timeline. also the cc told that we cant load it as its a one time use but i have loaded thrice… 
also u wont get any alerts both mail and sms
amex doesn’t work at paytm as there is issue at paytm side.

also there are no sms or email alerts like others… they have the option which i opted by checking the tick boxes but still no use…

Safekey(equivalent of Mastercard secure code et al) exists for Amex cards, and they are as secure as Mastercard and Visa, if not more. But all these features aren’t available with these prepaid cards.

Not there for prepaid card. But you do get transaction alert if you register for it.

So it seems amexsafekey is similar to VBV for visa cards, Maybe you are providing wrong creds for amexsafekey, if you have set it up.
Or it needs some time to get activated
