this is the age of DBT (direct benefit transfer). If govt wants common people to own smart phones, it would give subsidy directly to their Aadhar linked account and give them the freedom to buy from any company.

10 years back, I have actually handled cheques of 5,000 Crores and more. Used to count the Zeros 3 to 4 times just to make sure.
