USA visitor visa query

If I am not wrong once they take your passport it’s assumed your visa is approved as you said. No need to wait there all day, I guess you are not even allowed to. The passport will be either sent to the address of preference or should be picked up from consulate at a later intimated date, it depends on which option you opted for.

You won’t be required to stay. Visa issuance is not instant. You will get intimation to collect passport after few days.

It will come to your address within a week typically (assuming you opted for it)

Same day evening from vfs center or courier the next day if you opt and pay the fee. can be collected later from vfs center too if unable to do it the same day. but they have some fixed timings. Make sure you have some arrangements for your phone and bags as they are not allowed inside the consulate.
