Use these 2 website to seach cheap domain offers
https://tld-list.com/t...om
https://www.domcomp.com/t...om

As for hosting, i wont recommend you to go to cheap hosting if website is business related or important (not personal). Use any reputed shared hosting company service or you can try cloud hosting. AWS, Azure or google is giving 1 year free cloud hosting. I prefer google.

@IamJSK, You can start one month with 000webshost completely free. This way you will save high-end free service from google/azure

Do 2 things when you use google cloud
1. Do not become pay as you go customer (they will show you option to do that, dont do it to avoid unexpected charges)
2. Check your cost regularly and dont exceed $300 in a year. If you use 1 CPU core and 1.75 GB RAM then you will not be charged for 1 year (they give $300 credit as new customer).. Just check charges while setting up instances.

Note: Using cloud computing is free for a year however you will have to do everything yourself, so if you do not have even little knowledge of server/linux then i will suggest you to go with any shared hosting.

I wouldn’t recommend opting for a cloud service unless you have some expertise in monitoring your billing regularly else you will end up shelling out tons of money, moreover you need to add your card to account before using their service so no way you can escape the bill in case a bill is generated beyond the free credits. If you still intend to use a cloud service then check Hiroku which allows hosting 5 free apps (of course with some bandwidth/data limitations) and they dont even compel you to add credit/debit card to host free apps.

It’s a bit expensive but GoDaddy has one of the simplest interfaces to use. I have been hosting multiple personal websites on GoDaddy since almost a decade now and never really had issues with them.

Never use godaddy very costly, unless you are experienced and doing solely for long term business

i am not sure about others but with google, if you dont upgrade account to pay as you go customer then you wont be charged. Google gives $300 credit which is more than enough for any medium sized website.

Don’t we need to give a credit card as a payment method even for those 300$ free credit?

He is newbie in hosting and as per my knwldge goDaddy has a simple interface..
So i would not advice him to directly go with Linode ..
Rest its his choice.

For newbies namecheap hosting is pretty good too. they are offering 50% off for 1st year. $1.44 per month for shared hosting with cpanel and free ssl installation.
