I have a very old SBI Maestro card (non-chip version) which I rarely use. I might have been de-activated by dec-18. I want to know what are the charges for new Debit card and which card should I get? I hardly do any transactions but may need once in a while. I could not find any information anywhere. My existing card does not have any annual charges.

You can do branch transfer in onlinesbi.
If you cannot do that yourself online, reach to nearest sbi or SBIINTOUCH branch in bangalore and request them to make home branch transfer to your nearest branch along with updating the pan card and other details. . If you have necessary kyc documents with you, they can do it, try to go for SBIINTOUCH as they might be having somewhat youngster’s and have some sense/patience in resolving customer issues.

Will do that probably. I have an emi running on the existing ac. Will that be affected?

Nope, you will only be pulling your bank account, not possibly your cif.
If you’re talking about a standing instruction you gave to some other bank, you may possibly be required to give another updated si form to that loan bank,

One more option you have which might possibly work depending on the branch manager of your kolkata branch.
Get the email id of your branch in the Internet, it will be similar to sbi.<branch code> @ sbi. Co. In.

Drop an email to your current branch manager in that email id with your concern of updating your pan card along with scanned copy of your pan card from your registered email id. I highly doubt that your email id is updated, but you may give it a try

My phone and email ids are correct. Just verified those. I have SI for car loan from sbi itself. There was a lady branch manager once. she was very responsive. But after that they are lethargic to say the least. They never respond to emails, and their phone either doesnt exist or goes to fax. I will speak once to the branch near my house and check what needs to be done.
