I need to change device and use a new one temporarily , so i have taken whatsapp backup on Google drive.
The temporary device has very less memory.
Now what i want to do is install the whatsapp on temporary device but not restore the backup to save memory.
My query is that if two weeks later i reinstall whatsapp in my original device, will the backup i have created be usable despite having installed whatsapp once without using this backup.
I mean will installing the whatsapp without restoring the backup erase the backup file on Google drive.

Yep your backup will be there till you delete your drive just don’t enable drive backup for temporary account. Copy WhatsApp folder to PC if your so worried :p
