Friends – My brother is moving to europe for an year. Which credit card / debit card gives less foreign exchange markup fees? Any good practices? I did some homework. Looks like Amex is not accepted everywhere in europe. Visa or Mastercard are preferred options. Anyone aware of 0% markup of Indus Ind debit card? If possible can any one refer relationship manager?

Please PM me for any information you’d think I should be aware. Thank you.

Yes Bank has lowest foreign markup fee of 1.75%. Most of the cards have around 3.5%.

+1.

Yes bank is the best, if you can get Yes First Preferred Credit card, then it’s approximately zero cost.

The markup fee is 1.75%+GST, but you also get 8 reward points per 100 with redemption rate of 0.25 per rp == (8*0.25 = 2%). Even better card is Yes First Exclusive which gives 10 rp per 100.
