Which RO is best?? Kent Supreme or Livepure Touch Plus

Hello friends..
Actually I am a bit confused between these two models:

1. Kent Supreme: It’s costly and seems good on paper but I have read some really bad reviews about Kent’s after sales service.

2. Livepure Touch Plus: Everybody is praising it. Shopkeepers keep insisting to go for it. Heard that they have good after sale support.

So what do you say. Should I go for Kent or for Livepure???

Bought KENT Supreme for 15,200/- from pepperfry 2 months back & already used Kent Grand plus for 1yr which was bought offline, no service issues in my area till now..

Livpure is also good but they wont offer warranty or any service to online purchases, you can save some water with Kent Supreme, in Livpure water wastage will be there, so it is equal to Kent Grand plus, i had some headaches with waste water removal in Grand plus so went for Kent Supreme this time..

Livpure comes with touch buttons whereas in Kent it is Manual in all models, Livpure service is also good, but its offline price is 15,000/-, so at this price tag better to go for Kent Supreme as it is a bit advanced.. this is my view dnt know abt others..

How come you are so much sure that Livepure will not offer any warranty over online purchase???

I have exactly the same concern..

Planning to upgrade from my existing Eureka Forbes Aquaguard to RO

Brands taken into consideration:
1) Kent
2) LivPure
3) Eureka Forbes

In Kent, I called the executive for a free demo, and he suggested me 2 models namely GRAND and PRIDE.
He stated that the new model SUPREME is having a lot of issues.

In additon, spoke to a local dealer nearby, he said that we could offer an assembled kit exactly the same as Kent and equivalent warranty/after sales service at half d price. But we do not have Hema Malini to endorse our brand.

I am confused.. If the current users could further help out then it would be great ..

Actually local dealers have created a big mess for me here. They are insisting me to go for Livepure only. I was thinking to buy it until bkc told about warranty thing. Now confusion is more as dealers say that Kent is waste in terms of after sales service.

Using Kent since last 3 years..no issue of sale service. When you call them they appear mostly within 24 hrs.

Bought a new Grand + last year, that also work fine. Bought it from HS18, kent installed it, and after every 3 months they service it as part of 1 year guarantee.

However a friend has installed a local assembled RO for 7.5k he’s happy with it. If someone you know using assembled RO, you may contact the same dealer.

bcoz it is mentioned in their site here.. http://livpurewate...m/

Please avoid purchasing Livpure range of purifiers from unauthorised online portals like Snapdeal, Pepperfry etc. We do not provide any guarantees or services for unauthorized dealers.

Kent Grand plus is safe bet for you (if you hv some time to spend with it for waste water removal), it is a hit model & no issues over a year for me & my friends..

for Supreme, yet to know abt its performance personally, so im not saying it is a perfect one, but for any model initial hichups is a common thing, you must risk it, if you are from metros or cities you can sort out those problems easily..

dont go for dealers words, many dealers & technicians dont know Kent Supreme’s working & installation as it is new one, for local purifiers margin will be more, thats why they promote..

for branded ones life will be more & you can be sure about its efficiency, you can demand service with that company if it doesnt work properly, same is not possible with local purifiers, so go for branded one only, dont compromise your health for money..

for online purchases i suggest..
1) Kent Supreme (around 15k)
2) Kent Grand plus (around 13.5k)

for offline purchases i suggest..
1) Livpure touch plus (15k)
2) Kent Grand plus (15k)

first enquire abt thier service in your area & make a choice..

i dont know much abt Eureka, i decided not to go for it as thier service is poor in my area & i prefer top 2 only in any category.. https://cdn3.desidime.com/assets/textile-editor/icon_wink.gif

Thanks bkc for the help..

After browsing the internet and a bit of online/offline research, I have finalized on Kent Grand +

The best part: Kent’s head office in Delhi is 2.2 kms away from my place, so I guess it would be a safe bet.

Now guys , need help on the best online deal for the same.. (Cheapest and most reliable option on the internet)

i think KENT GRAND + is best option….which I had purchased around 11 months back. It has all the options for pure water- UV, UF, RO and TDS control. This machine gives me water with TDS count <20, though the tap water TDS is around 400+, at any given time.

I bought is offline for 14000/- (online price was more than 15500/- that time….and I remember some infibeam mangopeople discount was going on), as called a local representative for a free demo….they came and gave me an extra discount…when prooved them that I am getting the machine for Rs. 14200/- online.

Go for KENT GRAND +. Also the filter change is nominal…requires a refill of around 400-1000/-, every 18 months (or depending on your area`s water supply.)

I think this would help.

Annual contract is practically useless. What ever refill is required, just purchase and refill…service charges just 250/-, and service at home, no need to take it to service center. Also practically speaking paying 4k every year, not recommended. Just save this money…sell the machine after 3-4 years for anything like 4-5k, and buy a new one…..with the money that you were going to spend on AMC.:-D

Most of the RO’s listed on Flipkart are showing as discontinued. I guess they have stopped selling it on their website

I have been using Aquaguard Enhance from 1.5 years and till date got no problem.

http://www.eurekaforbes.com/Home/Products/Water...

Got 4 free services done during the first year. Afterwards the service guy came for AMC which costed around 4.2k. I refused as I was told by a local known person who assembles RO’s that get them replaced after 2-2.5 years depending on our usage. Even the aquaguard manual mentions replacement after 6000 Litres of purified water for RO membrane and 8000 litres for others.

After the installation service guy did not came for first service even after 4 months had passed by. I filled a simple online complaint form, the next day he was there. So it’s been pretty good till now.
Installation is done directly through their reps so no local dealer deals in them and will never recommend these for obvious reasons.

At that time 1.5 years back Livepure was not there so I have no idea about that. But I did enquired a lot about Kent and believe me it works on a very flawed process. The so called TDS adjuster that Kent so proudly claims of is infact very flawed. In that a part of the water say 70% passes through RO membrane and the rest through UV which can be adjusted via that TDS regulator. So what you get is a mix of two . The water that has been treated by UV obviously won’t be free of heavy metals and other contaminants. So you are not drinking 100% RO treated water. In Aquaguard all the water first passes through RO membrane and then through UV. This was Kent 1.5 years back. I don’t know about the present models so before buying Kent please do take care of this point.

Kent Grand + storage tank is not airtight, and is not insect-proof. I realized this when discovered red-ants in water that came out of the storage tank. I solved this by pulling out the water outlet pipe (from RO membrane) and storing water in external bottles, but this is hardly an elegant solution after paying so much money. I need a replacement now (after tolerating it 4 years), and did some research. In my opinion, local assembled RO units are as good, just ensure the RO Membrane is original Filmtec (Dow) brand. And yes, TDS controlling claim made by Kent is just cheating, don’t fall for it.

You’re Correct about Storage tank not being air tight and insect proof.. I took Kent Pearl for reason – Storage Tank is transparent and any contamination/insects in storage tank will be easily detected.

@Paani Coming to livpure, see their t&c. On online purchases they don’t offer service.. Weird but true.. There is another thread on DD for water Purifier.. Go through it
