Rakshabandhan is nearby and many sisters and also brothers and also parents will be ordering rakhis online at exorbitant prices quoted by sellers.

The ones which are available @ Rs 5 – 10 in retail market are being sold for Rs 35 to 70 + Shipping charges etc.

Wholesale Prices are even more lower than the price i quoted.

Even good designer rakhis are available at almost 1/10th rates in market than the ones quoted online.

So according to me shopping from market will be not only wise decision but also will give an opportunity to the stall owners to earn money.

What’s your say.

Agreed bro, it’s always better to buy our native things in stores, e.g. Pichkaris in holi, diyas in diwali, flags and stuff during independence day, and other festive things
The online sellers exploit buyers with inflated prices and at the same time the poor hawkers don’t get their living, so everyone is at a loss except the sellers online
Have always been preferring offline shopping during festivities

Why do sellers charge extra money? Did you all give it a thought?

- FK or Amazon charges MULTIPLE fees for selling online. Check for the selling fees on these websites and you will come to know.

Only eBay was asking for a SINGLE fee from the sellers apart from eBay store fees (Subscription was optional).

Yes, definitely its good to buy from local shopkeepers, if you do not have to ship it across India.
