Why doesn't flipkart deliver Laptops, fridge, etc to UP.

most sites don’t ship high cost electronic to up and wb due to taxes and sales tax/octroi papers that has to be collected beforehand and send to seller failing which your item gets held 7 out of 10 times and poor seller might have to suffer coming to up or WB and releasing it if you fail to do so.

but i’ve ordered lots of stuff on ebay, shopclues, hs18… they all ship to UP… i only knew about WB, kerala and north eastern states…

p.s. somebody has given a red face… seriously man whosoever it is… i’m asking a simple question here… not promoting a deal or anything..

idiots are everywhere, desidime isn’t exception.

and yes, many of the sellers on ebay or sc ships to up but you’ll not get bill attached on the courier cover. sites that do so for xample most power selles selers on ebay or yebhi or flipkart or hs18 won’t ship electronic items.

here is list of forms/papers required before shipment to be sent to seller (since rule says papers are to be given by shipper) in several state, for UP it’s form 38

i’m bothered because it hurts my overall reputation in the dimer community… i don’t think anybody likes to get a red face on their posts…

you are from UP, hoping that you will understand this: kutte bhaukte hai..hathi mast chalta rehta hai ..

apart from paper work..there is high theft cases in UP and north eastern states…many of those shipping to these places gets your signature before hand stating that they won’t be held responsible for stolen parcels..

These Days Flipkart is sending goods from their own logistics which is e kart they deliver only to those areas where ekart is present, right now they are limited to very few cities of various states, in M.P itself they are delivering in only 4 cities previously they have tie up wid various companies such as bluedart, ff and dtdc so goods will be delivered across all india, they have their own limitations now resulted in less sales i suppose.

same bro…i had to purchase a laptop 2 years back and was shocked to see lucknow isn’t in their serviceable area and same for other electronic items:evil: ….i don’t know much about the paperwork but i have bought electronic items fron snapdeal, ebay, yebhi, hs18, indiatimes and flipkart is way beyond these companies in terms of turnover, so fk should be the first one among them…but it still i am happy with fk cause it delivers mobile to lucknow
now isn’t mobile an electronic item?

i think they deliver mobile by the name of documents…

2 yrs back i ordered a LG optimus 2x from HS18… they delivered but in the courier receipt said that the parcel contained documents…

if it had mentioned mobile phone then i guess various logistical and paperwork problems…

what i don’t understand is why can’t flipkart also do this…. or best… allow us an option to send them a form 38/39 duly signed by sales tax officer…thus they can deliver…

Similar problem is with Dell. I bought a laptop 2 years back but had to send them Tax forms by courier [from Patna]. They shipped the product only after receiving the form.

I don’t face any problem like Tax Forms or octroi in MP.
Ye UP, Bihar,Jharkhand, WB, Maharastra etc ke Govt. extra smart kyun hain ye samjh me nhi aata. Faaltu me ham jaise logon ko problems hoti hai.

actually they are trying to prevent unauthorised reselling of products… sales tax forms are used to prove that product is for individual use and not for reselling…

Maharashtra mei toh abb LBT bhi chalu ho rha haii….so no more offers for us..

Jise jo karna hai wo kar hi raha hai. People still keep smuggling by ordering in nearby states’ districts and then smuggling in by road. Police sab pata hone ke baad bhi kuch nhi karti. Ye sab bahane hai extra tax liabilty impose karne ke.

Yesterday I went to buy slippers to one of Gwalior’s Main Market and there the slippers had MRP as low as Rs. 5-10. Reason given was that these come from China and to avoid tax (which is a percentage of MRP), they quote such low MRP on products. Now which Govt. is fool enough not to understand that 5-10 me slippers nhi milte. Ham jaise logon ko ye open secret araam se pata hai and Police ko na ho ye ho hi nhi sakta.

So in short, they are not trying to stop anything, but just putting extra burden on us. Bas bahane mil gaye unhe.

Bada Market.. beside SBI Main Office. The MRP printed on stickers will be in the range of Rs. 5-30 but they will charge Rs50+. They won’t sell you at that MRP, they are just printed to save on taxes.
