I think you will get 5% cb if you use your Amazon Pay ICICI card on other accounts. You must have active Prime membership.

Probably.

I tried to make sense of their terms but it’s too vague.

“You earn back 5% or 3% for A.in purchases depending upon the Prime status of A.in account at the time of purchase, through which you applied for the card originally. You cannot shift your card from one A.in account to another, however you can use this card on any other A.in account.”

So the reward percentage will only depend on the prime status of the card holder’s account. I think that’s what they are saying. Right!

Point no.12

If the Amazon.in account through which you apply for your Card account has an eligible Prime membership and your Card account is loaded into that Amazon.in account, your Card account will automatically earn 5% Back. However, if you switched Amazon.in accounts, or your Card account is loaded into multiple Amazon.in accounts, then your Card account may not automatically earn 5% Back and may instead earn 3% Back. In such cases, you will need to contact Amazon or Bank customer service and raise the request to link the correct Amazon account with the Card account number.

I think for 5% cb Amazon account can be switched . Refer points- 12 to 15.

They said if we switch account or use card in multiple accounts then we may not get 5% automatically but they did not deny it. If they wanted to, they could have said, that we are not eligible for 5% in that case but they didn’t. They mentioned that we will have to contact them.

That’s why I said these are vague.

We need to test this out. I don’t know how but someone who has better knowledge of Amazon Pay ICICI card should test it.

Flagged why? What is wrong in using 1 credit card in 2 amazon accounts? It is perfectly normal and we do it all the time.

Family members share their cards with each other. What is wrong with that? Please explain.

@Budhe Here is answer..
@Roushh
it does not matter where you use your apay card (in different amazon accounts) .. as long as amazon account linked with apay card is prime you will get 5% else 3%.

A card is issued to an individual, not to a family. The most famous case in recent months have been where an SBI account holder gave her debit card to her husband for withdrawing money from ATM and the ATM did not give money but the account was debited. SBI refused to return the money claiming it to be unauthorised use.
Amazon treats use of same card in multiple account as a “possible fraud”. So such account can be flagged, and then the customer has to prove that there was no unauthorised use or misuse of account and the accounts genuinely belong to family members etc.

Americans doesn’t understand Indian culture. I loaded in my dad’s account from my card, they blocked my dad’s amazon pay account. I explained to them but no luck
