AFAIK they have a limit on product value to ship in UP

I think that’s a restriction that has been set in place on Flipkart too. From what I know it’s an indirect result of abnormally high number of order cancellations and returns that happened from that region.

talk to amazon CS and they are saying its due to UP government Policy we are not able to Deliver Products more than 5k in UP

Due to high cancellation where customers for fun used to order high value items on cod and later cancelled the same..that created the logistics problem and cost escalation.
Also various frauds where the cases were on rise that they received the soap instead of mobile. So now FK and Amz not ship the items value > 5K.

@promocode Here is the real reason why some products are not available for delivery in specific states like Uttar Pradesh.

It’s not only UP. Amazon doesn’t ship to Haryana/UP/Jharkhand/Bihar a lot of items, the limits are not even bound by price. I couldn’t order RM3 from Amazon to Haryana relatives or OP2 last year to UP. Had to route it through Orrisa. Or small items like Mouthwash, car freshners to Jharkhand. Their policies are weird.

Even Amazon.co.uk doesn’t ship a few headphones to Mid-East. Had a chat with their CC and they said they couldn’t, didn’t give the reason.
