NEW DELHI: Train passengers, who could not take their journey because of unconfirmed ticket, will now be able to fly Air India flights at the fare that will be similar to AC first class fares of trains.
Air India Chairman and Managing Director Ashwani Lohani today said that the airline has entered into an agreement with IRCTC, which will sell those tickets.

Hearing this for more than 2 years. There was also an option in IRCTC old site.

- Chennai to New Delhi Rajdhani AC 1st class fare: Rs.6325
- Flight fare range: Rs.3500 – Rs.4500 for most of the next month dates.
- Stupidly love Indian railways.
- Was nervous about flight journey.
- Has a real problem with leg space offered in economy.
- His luggage is actually black money.
- Has drugs with him.
- Want to explore this country top to bottom.
- Worked out Indian railways is better deal than a flight + luxury hotel combo.
Was worth only if Air India offers business class.
AC first class ticket which are of the same rate as the flight tickets. If they also include convenience fee in it then good offer by railways.
Who cares about air India ? Their services are detorting. In the past they did provide great services but now they are perishing and there are better options available.
I had the worst experience with Air India. Will never travel from Air India even if they offer me a journey free of cost. Such a bull shit airline. They do nothing but tarnishing the name of India.
Excellent move by Indian Railway and Air India to relieve the passengers. Since Rajdhani connects only Delhi to capital cities, so route coverage by flight will also be 100%.
