Zomato hits another controversy: Hindu, Muslim delivery boys to strike against delivering beef, pork
Zomato delivery boys will go on a strike from Monday protesting that the food being delivered by them is hurting their religious sentiments.

Religion ne barbad kar diya hai.. sabka.. practical koi nahi hona chahta bas ego hai.. work is my religion.. new generation should think practically.. no one come to rescue you in trouble..from any religion only your work will do.. religion tag hi sare problem ki jad hai. all are just human.. one religion in one planet..
Today baap bada na bhaiya sabse bada rupaiya.. rupya aayga kaha se to kaam se.. else keep worshping till death and think God will feed you or your family..
I know this might hurt a few people, but there are so many vegetarians across the country. These people are involved in so many professions, CEOs, designers, coders, marketers, chefs, delivery boys, maids, cleaners and so many others.
My friend is a designer and works with a creative agency. One of his clients is KFC, when asked to design graphics and logos for them, should he say No, I won’t design cause they serve non-veg? His boss would kick him out of the office right away. He will have to do the job assigned because he agreed for it while joining, he agreed to do what he’s best at, doing his work, designing stuff no matter what/who it is for.
Imagine maids across the country, I know a few of them myself, they’re vegetarian but still cook non-veg dishes at several other places.
Now, turn the tables, imagine a non-veg cook saying no to cook veg dishes? Sounds funny, right? We live in a world of hypocrisy where some of them just want to keep criticising, make controversies, bring their religion in everything they do and make everyone’s life worse.
A lot of these delivery boys go back home and then drink when they’re tired. Isn’t drinking haram in their religion?
Oops, now they don’t want to follow their religion anymore now.
The world is a funny place and the credit goes to all such people.
You are ignoring the big issue here, Chicken=/= BEEF/PORK…..also your friend’s job is different from delviery boy’s job, there is no solution to his problem, he cannot design brinjal in place of chicken, but here delivery boy’s issue can be solved.

also how can you conclude that the delivery boy who are drinking are the ones protesting, there is no data to prove this.
You have your mind set towards one agenda and this is bad for you. You should have free neutral mind, spend and hour or so on thinking whenever you free and create a solid ideology for your self please.
India is a country of DIVERSITY, and adjustments should be made to keep the society functioning.

Or maybe, Zomato should include a clause (checkbox) in their agreement which they ask to sign from delivery agents when they offer these guys a job, about whether they are okay with delivering veg or non-veg or beef or pork or icecream.
Upon the response of person, Zomato can chose whether they have a suitable opening for the person or not. And I think that’s what they are going to do.
…quit the job and for god’s sake let someone deserving earn something and our economy moves a bit…we are slowing down and its a deep concern now….and some idiots with religious bankruptcy is spreading the hatred and animosity….

Lol these delivery boys after getting paid hefty amounts for deliveries (50k 60k pm) started acting like kaamchor BSNL employees
…add kaamchor govt. employee be it sbi,union bank or mtnl etc…

Technical solution for this is easily possible, however if implemented, we are headed to the middle ages
The delivery boy has got no business knowing the contents of the package being delivered, even if known to him his job is to deliver the food.
No one is asking delivery boy to open the food and taste it.If one cannot respect the occupation from where they are earning a livelihood, they better should not opt for such a job.
Also i feel this campaign is sponsored by “some” political party, else delivery boys are not millionaires to stay off their work for weeks.
And finally all life is equal, i know there are different religious beliefs, however i believe if you are killing a chicken and a buffalo, you are killing an animal which has a soul, they might look different, have different perceptions in your mind, however both are raised by humans by objective of being killed and sold for their meat

do not disclose the dish, just create categories like we do have for veg/non veg food./.green mark veg…brown/red mark common meat/…yellow mark -egg… similar like that……………………………and all life equal theory is bullshit, when we walk we kill many small insects, when we eat vegetables we kill living plant ..but i do not want to discuss veg/non veg/killing animals etc….all i want is right for delivery boys which they deserve……….
If you do not allow this, then remove all mark of veg/non veg from products? why there is mark if it is taking us to middle ages? If your answer is – it is for customer choice then i would say why not same for delivery agents? delivery agents are humans too.

This is trick used by refunders to keep zomato peeps involved in such things rather patching and catching refunders.
Anyway it was good Sunday , a day wasted successfully…now singing off…see you guys some other day./// i am exhausted , need to eat pork and beef to get some energy. I hope i get some librandu delivery agent to deliver my food.

and after reading all of the comments on this thread here i am thinking that, bhai, the food is packed, what concern do the delivery guy have to know what is inside? are they going to open and/or touch or eat it?
Stupid controversy. Somebody paid them to create this nonsensical chaos.
There are many unemployed ppl looking for jobs to survive so they can kindly quit and let others have a chance.
Can’t they just quit their job instead of doing strikes and all if they don’t like their job ?
Edit: I change my stand now , I think Zomato should do something about this like asking delivery agents for preference(like ask if they mind deliverying non-vef or they agree to carry beef pork etc.)before they join or atleast they can give some priority to their selected option.
