I bought McAfee antivirus for 3 years plan.
Believe me I never used it despite paying for it.
I feel , the inbuilt protection in windows 10(windows defender) is good enough for people who knows what they are downloading or what websites they are visiting to download things.

Try comodo Internet security free version. It has antivirus, hips system security and network security features all in one. Has never lead to either system slowdown or need to reinstall Windows.

If you use basic internet like opening emails and watching youtube then windows defender is very good.
But if usb used from unknown source then the risk is high and windows defender will not good enough in removing.
The only antivirus I found and purchasing since 2011 is Bitdefender Antivirus which has robust security and feel safe on using my pc.
AVG is better than AVAST in my belief. Kaspersky is second best to Bitdefender Antivirus.
Use eset internet security..cheap and best.. very lite..
ESET for me too. Been using it from last 10 years.
