What exactly are you guys hosting? Do you have websites or something else? Just curious.
I have few websites .. .. you can use to store your data too ..
Ok. So I personally dont have any website to put up (yet) but for storage is this webhosting good enough? I’m currently using Microsoft Office365 home account. It costs appx 3500/year and gets me 1tb each for 5 people each with their own pcs/smartphones & tablets. Does a web hosting site make better sense than office365 if all I really needed was online backup? Let me know if you have any thoughts here. Thanks

Depends on your data I think. It won’t be safe for sure. I will prefer to use cloud service for my data storage.
Worst hosting..!
after shifting my website here, there are always virus attacks every 2nd day.
They say its architectural fault.. lol

I agree, bought wordpress hosting for 3 years at 80% discount and their system gets down every few days, site goes down and whenever I contact the customer support, they raise a ticket by saying it’s server issue. Finally, I asked them for refund after 30 days drama and the refund is back to my account.
I would not suggest to buy from Hostgator, they are not as good as they are used to be couple of years back.
now toh me stuck. I also bought 3 years plan, and was working fine for like 1 month, then prob started. I tried restoring directories for like 15 times a month. Now i am fed up, but no other option too since cant get refund also. They saying wordpress loopholes. Whole world using wordpress only my site gets attacked everytime.. lol thing
Any one more willing to purchase Hostgator hsting?

I opted for wordpress hosting since I find it reliable with cloudfare cdn, couple of wordpress plugins for cache I never faced downtime cause of my site traffic but with hostgator when I moved my servers, my site was down within few hours. I realized one thing that all these discounted offers by hostgator are actually the worst servers and they recover the cost by discounts.
It was PIA to transfer my data again to new server but I opted for Godaddy ultimate plan which cost around 6k per annum for the first year (50% off) and so far no issues even when my site touched above 3lac traffic.
The worst part is I got partial refund since their 45 days money back doesn’t include hidden charges, levies and stupid taxes. Glad the worst part is over and now I can concentrate on the content instead of hosting discounts.
3L traffic per day? :O what type of site do you have?
Now I have to manage somehow with this gator for another 2.5 yrs..errrr…
Can you suggest best plugins for increasing speed?
Godaddy good enough? Its the most expensive I guess currently.
I guess there rates are too much!! Even after 50% discount.
Refunded my order!
