Heard the same from couple of friends in Hyd. Specifically friend bought few from the one in Sanathnagar-Erragadda

I’m not sure why, didnt find any difference in brightness between 9w 900 lumens eveready led bulb and 8w 960 Lum.

If you really want to observe the difference, try in a bigger room and look at the farthest corner from the bulb.
