I am honestly shocked at how bright these bulbs are! Definitely brighter than an existing 9W 900 Lumens LED bulb from Eveready. Excellent improvement in the energy efficiency.

We get the same bulbs for same price at D-MART – got 6 of those Rs. 99 each (we can also get it tested then and there)
Are you sure that D-MART is selling 8W 120Lm/W bulbs for 99 each? If yes, please do mention the store location.
@jy9585 Thank you for updating the thread with today’s deal. These bulbs were again under sale at the same price — 199 for a pair.

Heard the same from couple of friends in Hyd. Specifically friend bought few from the one in Sanathnagar-Erragadda
Thanks for the information
Skipping the deal then…
I’m not sure why, didnt find any difference in brightness between 9w 900 lumens eveready led bulb and 8w 960 Lum.

My guess is, less power consumption and more life compared to CFL or others.
You might be aware of AP State’s LED distribution program to reduce the power consumption

The M.R.P.: 799 (for pack of 2) mentioned at Amazon is fake. Check the correct MRP 640 (for Pack of 4) at flipkart
https://www.flipkart.com/eveready-b22-led-9-w-b...
They are 6500K 900 Lumens – Pack of 4 has a MRP of Rs. 640
Everready sells 9W LED’s in two options (http://www.evereadyindia.com/lighting/led-filte...)
9W/ 3000K / 810 Lumes
9W/ 6500K /900 Lumens
I got the 9W 6500K 900 Lumens from DMART in Pune.
Also on paytm pack of 3 such LED’s costs Rs. 330 with 6 free everready batteries.

Note: Whenever you see huge discounts, make sure to check and confirm the MRP of the same product on other websites to avoid falling prey to their marketing gimmicks.

I guess not all eyes can distinguish the 60 Lumens (~7%) difference in the brightness.
If you really want to observe the difference, try in a bigger room and look at the farthest corner from the bulb.
Recieved these today. Haven’t been able to notice the difference yet, but still VFM. Also got 4 x Eveready Ultima AAA batteries for free.

These 8W high-efficiency bulbs are neither supposed to come with free batteries nor did I get any with my order. Are you sure you ordered 8W 960 Lumen bulbs or are you confusing these with the regular 9W 900 Lumens bulbs like @prasadmbnt?

Lol. No. I am atleast that educated to make out a difference if it is mentioned on a box whether it is 900 or 960 lum.
Both the bulbs came as a bundle in a single box with 4 AAA batteries stick outside. I can post pictures for you if you want.

No pictures required. It seems you simply got lucky as no batteries are mentioned even on the Amazon product page. Let’s see if @rajrocks also gets lucky.

The packaging of batteries as well mention that they are to be given as a freebie with Eveready LEDs.
Not much difference but SAVE ELECTRICITY
@KuttaJi wrote:

Save Electricity = Save Money.
Even if you ignore the slightly higher Lumen output, let’s just compare the cost savings from this 8W bulb vs a low-efficiency 9W bulb. For a daily usage of 12-hours, each 8W bulb would result in a reduced consumption of 4.4 units per year (12W less consumption per day x 365 days per year / 1000W per unit), which equates to about Rs.20 per year. Over the average life span of these bulbs (~5 years with a usage of 12 hours per day), one would end up paying Rs.100 less as compared to using a low efficiency 9W bulb.
P.S. In other words, one should NOT even consider the low-efficiency 9W bulbs over these 8W high-efficiency bulbs unless the 9W bulbs are priced at least Rs.100 lower. CC @ranjithsai01 @rajrocks
Calculation is good But u Forgot Interest Factor (Interest on money not Entertainment)
Even if Get at 70 rs Lower it should be fine if we save 70 rs First Year Interest around 5.6 rs
Thus
Next Year would be 5.9 rs and so On
